"Royalties, royalties, royalties! The royalty check is in, honey!"
Well, up until yesterday, I had resigned myself to the fact that after all my years playing and writing music I was destined to be a wannabe has-been. I was content. I accepted my fate. And I was okay with it. I knew I gave it my best and had nothing to be ashamed of.
And then my phone rang.
It was my old writing partner asking me if I got my royalty check!
It turns out that one of our songs has been making us all kinds of money in a few different Asian countries!
It looks like I have gone from wannabe has-been to music industry professional overnght!

Happy to hear about the phone call and the royalty check, Larree.
The way I see it, having a royalty check arrive in any amount is dollars in the pocket better than not having any royalty check arrive.
