How has IMP affected on your followers at social media?
Hello. I've made it to the Kayak Big 25 with my song ' Murdering Lights ' that also rose quickly #1 at All Genres Chart here at IMP. The song is also a part of Lady Voices Of Indie. I'm very thankful about this. I'm still new to the site so I have a question to all those who has had their song on Kayak Big 25 and top on the charts here: Has it affected your Likes at Facebook, followers at Twitter or Instagram? Around here you rarely see a mention of Twitter or Instagram. If you want likes on facebook making a direct appeal here or on your artist page might help. It might also help to use html for your pipeline links. Here's a guide somebody put up.

Thank you for your tip. I'm using my mobile phone atm so I can't use html. I have the links at my artist page, though. Why those social media sites are rarely mentioned here? If we want to support independent music isn't it obvious that we need to Like those we find from here at those sites too? I'm Liking Piranya at Facebook and I tried to find Sru but I didn't find. I'm also planning to like everyone on TonyGirl's Favorites station when I have the time to look for them. This is basic form of support, I think. I'm also gonna share their music to my friends and mention I found them here in order to get more listeners to this site. I'm also curious if anyone has had audience growth after having their song played on 37 college and FM radio stations. Thank you.

Well there is a certain crowd that came into online music with a goal of getting as many friends as they could on My Space. When it got to the point that many people were paying to generate a number of "fake" friends, a lot of people soured on the sort of tally that collecting likes on facebook is similar to. A lot of artists here are more oriented towards connecting with individual listeners, like the kind that add you to their stations and write blurbs about your songs. Any kind of grander exposure like the kind you get on the Kayak Big 25 show helps. For instance at the end of the year IMP has the Golden Kayak Awards and when that is taking place, traffic goes up for the site and everyone.
