The Creative Process
2009 - how is it going in your life so far? Here we are already into the second week of the New Year! With the release of 2008 I realize I should have posted some thoughts here rather than as my artist name. I really believe we are each powerful creators in our lives, and we each have impact with what we offer and I also believe in a responsibility for such.

Although people will not always know why we make the choices we do, our lives are not open books. As a person I am sensitive and empathic to my surroundings; I speak my truth in the moment based upon my experiences. I do not condone gossip, or contribute to what I see as backbiting, and to a fault I will stand for people I see and know to be treated unfairly. As with anyone speaking their truth in the moment, it may be beautiful, it may seem biting, it may be funny, whatever it is.. it is our own voice and it is unique. Once again I say thank you to IAC for providing a place where we can do just that, to share and exchange ideas and insights, to collaborate with each other by way of blogs and to a larger context in our lives.

Just as seasons change I believe in cycles of life and the release of patterns, some of which are our own making, and others are put upon us. Jeff Allen Myers has a powerful song that relates to that I would like to reckognize for it represents a belief that we make our reality and yet how often people find themselves living their lives as a series of chain actions | reactions, even misdirecting the course of their lives. Suffice to say, there is always a choice in that as creative people we push upon the envelope, for we were born to assimilate life by our purpose through all of our senses and so it should be. While I do not seek to find fault or blame, I take responsibility for my actions and with every intent I do so with careful evaluation. Having said that I am not perfect and I can only offer what I see through my filtering process and ever changing color glasses.

With great sincerity I want to appoligize to Jeff Allen Myers who I understand is going through a difficult time with his mother Mary's health. Jeff if you are reading this, I was not aware of your mothers name or with what she is facing specifically with her health. I am sorry if I contrubuted to causing you and your family more distress than already placed upon you.

I was recently talking with a group of friends I've known many years because of our interest in world peace. We talked about issues facing the world including the recent developments with respect to war - our conversations always seems to come back to the best we can do is work on ourselves individually to be as clear a channel as we can in our ongoing creative process.

There are many aspects of life we don't have control of but we do have control of our actions and what we choose to truly give of ourseleves. With respect for your music although I have not agreed with everyone here I hold no energy or time to spend in holding grudges. Sometimes our releases with the past would have us bursting with emotion but eventually I think that does transmute to more workable energies and communications with people in life and through art which has to have an effect in the larger scope with what we each bring to life and experience around the world. No one is insignificant with what they bring to life and that they do not collectivly contribute to. Here's to 2009 - with all my love!
