It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor....
Good morning!! It's 10 am and a balmy beautiful 75 degrees (with almost ZERO humidity) here in the majestic mountains of Colorado. Clear, bright baby blue sky, filled with cotton candy white clouds. I grew up here, (and subsequently got banished to my dad's in Tennessee at 17 for being a PUNK, but that's another stroy!!) and have recently come back here to live. Colorado has to be one of the most wonderful places on Earth to live, with the mountains out every west window, and so many fun things to do year-round. I had planned on skiing my little heart out when I moved back last summer, and damn if I didn't go ONCE this season! Lift tickets are quite a bit more expensive than they were when I left! Anyone who has been here knows exactly what I'm talking about, and those that haven't, should all be blessed with a trip at least once in their lifetime. We are fortunate enough to boast an average of 300 days of sunshine per year...and the weirdest thing..... I can't tell you how many times it has clouded over dark as night, the wind has kicked up and got to generally looking just like Dorothy's Kansas did before the big tornado...but in the end? It very rarely actually rains! Which is a little disappointing because I adore thunderstorms. The bigger, the better. I'll just keep hoping that it actually screws up and DOES rain soon... :)
Today I am sitting at my desk (unfortunately) entering a load of mind numbing bookkeeping data. Got my IAC station wafting from the speakers, and a cool breeze drifting through the open window. I am lucky enough to work from home, so I'm looking at the big blue sky and my gorgeous backyard out the window, and my faithful shadow Rainbow, is sitting at my elbow as she always does. (she's my cat) All in all, I couldn't ask for more.
