Diamond in the Rough
This morning I was trying to come up with a new idea for an acoustic song. Sipping my coffee, I picked up a guitar and started noodling around, but nothing seemed to stick or jump out at me.
Then I went on the computer and looked at some of the stuff in my archives that were labeled "work in progress". I found something I did in 2007 almost 10yrs ago that after listening to it again, I realized it was just fine like it was. Something UNIQUE and NATURAL and should actually not be changed (by self implied "Indie Rules").
It's funny how a song can be in a "time capsule" maybe put into a shoe box because the writer can be such a perfectionist (anal) about material.
Anyways, it's called Acoustic World
What makes it special is the fact that all the tracks were done with one acoustic guitar.

Duane - just got done listening to this. I wasn't having that great of a day, and I swear, I mean it literally changed my whole day/frame of mind. What a perfect song - so beautiful - and your playing is so smooth and fabulous. This kind of guitar sound is my absolute favorite so of course I'm in heaven to hear it on every track - great idea. Congrats on this one!!!
