If you keep playing - new opportunities will keep coming
I realize I haven't been staying active on IAC but I do lurk around now and again. I just wanted to share an incredible evening with you all. There was a post a while ago about the biggest audience you've played in front of and this must have been the most to date. I was 1 of 20 finalists playing in a Talent Explosion Contest - grand prize $20,000.

Ok so I didn't win the $20,000 via the Jack FM Talent Explosion contest, but I thought I won in so many other ways. We're all trying to get a name for ourselves, we're all trying to be heard and I had a few more ears listening and it didn't cost me anything.
I got to play at one of the nicest theatres in town, in front of one of the largest most attentive crowds yet. Shared the stage with some awesome talent, had some famous people listening. My family had a great night out, my kids saw their Mom as a 'rocker'. Friends got to scream and yell at me like crazy, and I have a memory to last a lifetime.
I've only been doing this actively since 2005, short for many and longer for some. I only get more energy and excitement each time I play. Contests are a real tough place to be, so kudos to everyone that participated.
