Anyone got any stories (good or bad) about TAXI
People keep telling us to join TAXI (music placing) we've checked the site out and they seem to have every angle/question covered so what's the snag? and does it work? It's not that cheap so we just wondered if anyone knew anything we can't find out from the website.
Thanks Greg/Erin (midriff)

Well, awhile back the guy who runs Taxi, MIchael Laskow had a column in Musician magazine. He wrote some article which had what I thought was a lot of crap in it and I located a contact phone number as I used to get junk mail from them. I left a long message debating his comments and the next day I was surprised to get a call from Laskow himself. I found him to be a complete jerk, who wanted my money. He vouched for their service, but as an aside, told me he only listened to 5 CDs in the last year, and that he used to be in producing/mixing but just got tired of it, it burned him out on music. So anyway, this guy really isn't in it for the music at all. imo he's a snakeoil salesman.

Furthermore, I've heard horror stories about some of the clients who use TAXI demanding artists sign away their songwriting.
