I've added a new (old) song if anyone is interested.
I put this one up for Larry's sad song station. It's one of my first attempts at recording but I think it sounds ok.
Come home

Pretty song, Mark. Not bad at all for a first recording attempt.
I don't know what equipment you have - but if possible - I recommend that you use a condenser mic if you can for the vocals, record the vocals separate from the guitar so that you get more control of the mix.
Your vocal is kind of submerged in with the guitar which makes the lyrics a bit hard to understand. If you did record the vocal apart from the guitar, then try bringing the vocal up a tad and add a little compression to it - try 6:1 (compression starting at -12DB)
Cheers

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Shady Rose, yes I have since recording this track bought a condensor mic.
It was recorded about 3 years ago and I have since upgraded a lot of my equipment.
I will have a look at the compression advice you gave me on my next recording though, it's one of those things I've never really played around with too much.
thanks for the advice.
Cheers Mark
