Need Help With Problem Between Zoom H2 and MacBook Pro
So I plugged the Zoom H2 into the Macbook, and right away everything gets recognized, there are my wavs from the H2, and I can easily get them on itunes and they play.
So great, I'm thinking, I don't even have to go through my studio equipment to get my wavs off, they just jump right into the Mac.
But then when I unplug the thing, the song names appear in itunes, but the files are not there anymore, and worse than that, now the 2 gig memory card I was using in the Zoom is no longer recognizable by the Zoom. It thinks there is no card in there.
I got a new 8 gig card and I've been using that fine, so nothing is wrong with the Zoom H2 or the MacBook, but that 2 gig card (and all music I put on it) is a goner.
I don't want to try to dump my new 8 gig card into the Mac now for fear it will ruin that one, too, but it sure would be great to unload the songs in that simple way when I want to.
ANyone know what might have happened here? Maybe there was a disconnect I was supposed to do that I didn't? Kind of weird that whatever happened rendered that whole 2 gig memory card unusable.
Thanks for any tips you may have...

Bob
did you do a safely eject...or safely remove prior to extracting or removing the H2 cable ?
Try to re-connect your H-2 Zoom once more..then copy files to a new folder in your mac. it seems strange that they dont show up.
So you probably know this but go to menu on zoom scroll down to USB then hit the record (red button) and an Autoplay should show up
then open folder to view files
then copy and drag files to your new folder in your MAC
that should work, or maybe lyingdan can help or some one familiar with this can assist you .....

Reading the card directly on to the Mac with a card reader could be worth a try if for any reason the USB connection doesn't work. Hopefully the Mac should recognise that there is a drive there. If the files have disappeared, you might possibly have some luck with a file recovery program.

Thanks for the advice.
I think I could do that stuff to preserve files on the computer, but what worries me and the thing I really don't understand is how it wiped out the memory card and left it unusable. I'll have to store the music I have in their using my studio equipment before I even try to hook it to the mac again.
