the youtube blurb game
Here's how it works. I'm going to put up a youtube of a song I really like that I don't think many have heard before. The next person checks out the video, writes a blurb about the song like on the station mash page and then puts up their video (no putting up your own).

To post a video just put the embed code in your post box.

This is Brilliant, great musicality and catchy melody, its a little quirky, twisted and unique, it is pushing the limits of pop and sliced in with a touch of a little reggae groove. love that piano or keyboard work, very creative, and the vocals are really excellent , right up front, cool harmonies. funky out there piece , not your typical run of the mill what you hear in radioland.

"Sharing pillows and cold feet" is a most enticing lyric. It's a simple song, you kinda know what's coming but the chorus has an emotional draw. I liked the guy's gruff tones.

Some Pop now

Nice pop fun by Lily - love her ... so nothing new there, but the video is great - perfect non-anachronistic vintage country band with modern day Lily sort of providing a time travel warp thing ...

I would say Dancing With Death sounds kind of cool but also kind of cookie cutter. There's a good beat but not a lot to put it "out of the box".

I'm going old fashioned by putting this one out there! But updating your material is a good thing.OK this is a timeless classic!! Greg Lake's son is playing lead on this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8AP-kobAtg

I guess just copying and pasting isn't enough. Sorry, I feel outa place now.......................

Brody ~ Nice instrumentation / well crafted song and arrangement / good easy listening track

My pick ~

I just watched Quentin Tarentino's The Hateful Eight. Not much to recommend about it except the closing song from Roy Orbison.

kinda nice old style groove from one of the ICONS of the age of rock and the guy had such a beautiful voice. almost country feel.

Yeah, I love the Japanese groups and the K-pop thing in general. Watching KBS, which used to be on my dish coverage, asian entertainment in general is so much more innocent and less jaded than American TV. (Yes, I know...japanese porno...but hey, even that has an "innocent" quality to it. well except for some of it). This in particular is a Japanese group that does the 60's sound in faithful rendition, very good. Captures the spirit of the times very well.

And now for Ainjel Emme, one of our own.

Well. I'll try to Blurb on the video before my post.
In a way, it's not fair as it was a comedy bit impersonating AC/DC than an actual song, but I'd have to say Breuer did a great job capturing the voice and intensity to make this a funny and entertaining piece highlighting how certain singers can turn any simple tune into a rock hit!
