My Mother
Sad to report that my mother passed away last Thursday suddenly from a short illness.
Although she was elderly she had been very fit but had the beginning of dementia so at least she's escaped that deterioration.
It was a real shock so you probably won't see much of me for a while - glad I got my nominations in already!

So sorry for your loss, Chandra. I lost my mom 4 years ago and I miss her especially now at the holidays. Peace be with you.

Hi Chandra. Sorry to hear this news .my condolences .it is a hard thing for sure .my mom died 14 years ago and it was tough to deal with. Think of her often. Take care.

How Terrible Chandra, This is one of many bridges we all have to cross but none of us wants to. You are right about the Dementia. My grandmother had it for years and it was pretty devastating to watch its effects on her and the surrounding family.
This is a time of sadness and no one will deny that. I hope in time your sadness will be replaced with the fondness of your memories and the time you had together.
We can never be ready for a thing such as this my thoughts are with you.

Thinking of you at this sad time, Chandra, and sending heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Happening so close to Christmas deepens the emotions surrounding the loss.
I was at mum's bedside when she took her last breath. I felt a part of my heart going with her.
I offer a thought for you (words that I wrote in my novel), "Next to our dreams, memories are our greatest treasure."
Your many friends and your music will see you through this sad time.

Thank you so much - I'm feeling better now - it was such a shock. My sister from Australia now with us which is really helping.
