Rest In Peace Eric Marcellous Harris (My Best Friend)
I seldom write songs about individual people. My wife would be an exception. But, I wrote and produced this song in 2006 and released it on the Stoneman Avenue CD in 2007. Eric, my best friend passed away last night (06-29-2011) from cancer. So, I am uploading this song about my buddy for all to hear. Eric was a man who loved life to the fullest. He was a man who loved his friends and family passionately and unconditionally. Eric was also a man that danced. He was not a professional dancer but whenever a song came on that he liked, he got up and danced. Because of this, we often got up and danced with him. That is what this song is all about. The party never got started until Eric began to dance. His dancing was infectious and contagious. The joy he brought to others was so beautiful, so bold and so real. My wife and I miss him already. The party will never be the same. Sorry I cannot give free downloads but this song is still under contract by the recording company. If you want a copy you will have to get it on itunes or emusic etc. Rest In Peace Eric! We Love You Man! Somewhere in heaven, the party just got started.............

So sorry you lost your best friend, Stoneman - but glad he'll always be dancing in the happy song you wrote about him.

Eric's getting down and funky with the angels...may his spirit groove to the vibe of love reverberating through The Universe.
Sorry for your loss,
