Rising Up
One of my biggest critics always complains that I write too much positive crap (as he puts it). I love that! I love annoying him with positivity just as much as he annoys me with music about bitches, hoes, guns, violence and murder. He says I am not keeping it real. I say that he's exploiting negative situations for his own gain. He has had a very successful career because of his so called "keeping it real" attitude. Whatever! Anyway, here's another song that will probably annoy the hell out of him.

Thanks for the good medicine on this one, Stoneman. I personally needed to hear it today. Great vocals and guitars, love the lead near the end. I guess it's subjective what you call "keeping it real" because to me this is the side of the coin that is real.

Thanks so much for the kind words about this song D.. Yes, "subjective" would certainly fit here. I try to have a balance of both socially conscious and purely for entertainment music. But I just can't get into the demeaning crap that keeps creeping up from the crevices of the "keeping it real" set.
