moderator policy on political threads
You guys need to keep the political threads limited to 2 or so. Somebody brought back a bunch of old ones, just telling you if I see more than 2 political posts in the top 10 blogs starting tomorrow, I will remove them from view. Thank you in advance.

I personally believe threads here should be about the music and only the music! Politics and religion are topics that should be discussed elsewhere. Not here.

Now this is terribly disappointing to hear. Or read, in any case.
The people who don't wish to hear about politics, do not have to read such posts!
No one is forcing their eyes to the page!
But this is where you wanna draw the dividing line?

That'll alienate the hell out of Holo Lukaloa whose sole purpose here
seems to be expressing freely his political viewpoint, probably alienate

I find that disappointing too. As someone on the Pipeline has already pointed out, our ideas are important and are often the subject of music we write. Plus I think it's way more interesting when there are other topics besides just music. Agreeing with ALJ, if you don't want to get into politics, just skip that thread and go on to the thing that interests you.

It may be from the Moderator Standpoint, we need to separate those two:
Holo and Larree.
After a while, not only do they cancel each other out, resulting in
nobody hears either one of them, they also look like they need to get a room.
They should both be able to post.
We don't want---I don't think we don't, I hope we don't---to turn IMP
into a restricted expression zone. There's enough of them already in the world.
But we as Moderators, and I'm thinking like one now, yes this is Lesley
speaking, the group leader, well our job as Moderators,
is not stifle creativity nor free expression.
Only bullshit. And this back and forth thing they do, is bullshit.
Neither of them has even sense enough to realize they're
canceling out their own argument.
So the answer may very well be,
Larree isn't allowed to enter Holo's posts,
and Holo isn't allowed to enter into Larree's posts.
Though that may be complicated coding-wise. That just occurred to me.
Ideally, if both gentlemen could exercise some self control,
post your viewpoints, each of you, stay away from the other one,
because I'm pretty sure we all, no matter what our political preferences,
get real tired real fast of all this nonsense.
What say you both post your own posts,
and have respect enough as people, not to sully each other's posts,
with obviously conflicting viewpoints.
Simply Air Each, Your Own Viewpoint. Let us decide what we agree with.
You going back and forth back and forth back and forth, only annoys us.

Waah Waah. Normally there's no problem, but when somebody brings back a half dozen posts from the dead, the pipeline is all politics and that's not going to happen. Keep the same amount of posts on 2 or 3 threads, that's all.

Well, I hear what you're saying Bluto...
and if there are indeed old posts rising from obscurity,
then obviously it is because Larree sought out every post
this kid made, so he could scrawl his autograph on each one.
To then delete Holo's posts, because Larree went and
basically "Larree Bombed him" is not at all fair to Holo.
Holo Lukaloa who routinely posts here on the subject of politics,
and what he believes in.
There may need to be made a rule of distinction,
do your own post, don't bomb someone's post with an opposing viewpoint.
It is not fair to Holo, if Larree Larree Bombs Holo's posts,
and then they're all floating, simply because Larree enjoys
seeing his name everywhere.
Not that I can fault him for that, really, I love seeing my name everywhere.
I'm thinking of changing my name to EXIT. I'll never feel lonely again.

Holo = a pen name for somebody who's been here for a long time, who actually IS a moderator.
I won't out them explicitly, but you can probably guess who he is. Those of us who have been here a long time already know.

Bluto, in this case you are off base, you know why, because there are some people coming back, who have not been around like for 4 5 6 years, and they are those who see someones recent post, then look back at something else, and then start commenting, I think it was not intentional or on purpose. They just happened to find something of interest that twigged them.
This happened a few weeks ago with a number of fly of the walls posts, ie with a newer member Lesley Jane and nothing was noted there, or did you just let that one pass. come on, it was not intentional and honestly it cramps the style of what we would expect around here. I know if I was gone like for some time and got dumped on like this I would say , What the hell happened, you want interaction and a busy pipeline, then dont stifle it!!
yeah you the mod Mr Bluto. but lets be reasonable. now if it happens all the time with the same person digging up super old posts then yes, I think in Larree's case, as a long time member, who didnt visit or post for ages, there should be some leeway with returning members of long standing who see something and post but did not dig up prehistoric posts with the intent of stirring shit. it just interested them

I believe Fly himself said something about that. but I would add that this was only meant as a warning, I didn't want anybody to be under the impression that the pipeline would be all political all the time.
We are happy to have Larree back but we remind that the pipeline belongs to all.

I dont see political all the time, when I read political posts anyways it is music to my ears, like it is way better then reading the daily rag of the media we have, the people here have more insight then a truckload of them. Lets talk now about the Middle East, The syrian refugees, the president of the US or the cool dude from Canada eh. Trudeau, lets talk about hockey, Football, baseball, beer vodka and sake. I think just for the F*ck of it , I will go back and start bringing back posts from 10 years ago. my 200 of them LOL , some of LyinDans, the Fly Holo and shit like that, I feel kinda passionate about this and will start a full fucking fledged rebellion, now what do you think about that Bluto. wha wha wha
