How much is your music part of your identity?
Sometimes it seems like it's all of mine,

1% maybe. The rest is reality of day to day.

My music is 100% of my identity. It's been the most important part of me all my life. It has saved my life over and over again. It's the only part of me that I always love no matter what.

wow to Dolores and FT.
I just live by how I feel, with Richard on his views , honestly can't say Music is everything, it is a part of the cycle of life with me,although I am immersed in it of course, still teaching, still doing promotions for performing artists and their music cds to radio and when inspired, once in a blue well I sit down and write instrumentals,do collabs, or piano solos, a variety of styles like many here, once in a blue maybe something with lyrics. But it does not consume me or do I consider it the most important thing, its a part of me, and just that,. for me it is like being on a river, sightseeing, enjoying the ride, enjoying all aspects of the things in life in balance.

It doesn't consume me either - and I certainly have never had the work ethic to practice, perform or record 24/7. But how much a part of your identity? all of it ... It's not something I do on purpose. It's just who I am to myself.

The idea that I could section myself off doesn't fit with being a creature. I do a lot of different stuff, not nearly as much music as I would like, but everything filters through me musically.
