Do enemies/hatred/negativity activate communication?

Was reading sportscaster Colin Cowherd opining about the NBA's TV ratings being much higher when Lebron James played with Miami and was public enemy #1, and how they've fallen since he went back to his Cleveland hometown.

I'm also relatively sure the pipeline is a lot busier when contoversy and personality clashes are astir. Meanwhile the current presidential campaign has had more words spent on Trump, the candidate who wants to make America Hate Again, than all the others combined.

Why is it that this sort of thing brings a crowd? Could it be more of a good thing than a bad thing?

Well, I guess at the bottom of it....

Hey that reminds me,
you do know you really oughta consider a different photo to identify yourself with?
Okay just checkin'.

Wow.

Well, I guess at the, uh, bottom of it,
we're told to just accept a lot of stuff, some of which, we inherently know
is complete and utter grinning bullshit...

a guy like Donald Trump comes along, and it becomes Trumpmania
after a while, 'cause everyone's going 'we don't have to hide it! we can
hate openly and feel how we feel about it!'....

it's a sort of liberation, being told 'keep it to yourself'
and then here comes this guy who's like 'no fuck that noise, let it out!'

it's a field day...
and everybody know it.

yeah, it's crazier than a shithouse rat, it's that too...

but when the so called 'sane approach' still leaves all kinds
of wrongs still standing and still going strong...
that's when people start sampling the other brand; the 'insane approach'.
It happens. Now and then, whoohooo, Crazy Happens.

And we might be in the midst, of such an era.

I support Donald Trump for president 100%. And it has nothing to do with "hate." The only "hate" seems to be coming off of you. Get off my nuts already. Jesus fucking Christ. You need to stop generalizing and lumping everyone into a lump that fits your personal ideology.

Larree. I am not 'on your nuts'.

I was not even talking to you. I was talking to this 'intellectual' dude
(assuming it's a dude) with the funny picture.

And I was talking, in response, to what he brought up.

Now, as far as Trump, I am not even 'on his nuts'
for goodness sake. I'm not. I could bring up that he's behaved
distastefully towards women in general at the very least,
but I wasn't even doing that.

Look, I am at this point, just so you know,
going out of my way, not to bicker with you anymore,
and I know you really really like the guy.
I kinda like the guy, sometimes. I like that he'll say stuff
no one else will, 'cause to an extent, I'm like that.
But some of the stuff he says, I don't know anyone even SHOULD say,
for instance, that it's 'disgusting' that a woman has to go to the bathroom,
or that it's 'disgusting' when a woman breast feeds. And we can just
call that some aspect of what Trump's said, it's all there on record,
he did say this stuff, that I disagree with him there. The guy may be
right about some of what he says, I'm not even entering into such
an argument... obviously a lot of people respond to him...

but again, Trump, is mentioned, in this guy's (or girl's) post.
I just responded to this person's question.

It's not all about you any more than it's all about me.

It's ultimately about all of us in the world, and part of the process
of being a world, is sometimes to get around to talking about stuff.

I am sincerely not looking to have any more bicker battles with you,
for any reason. I support the guy's right to run,
I support that you like the guy and he has your vote.

As for whom I will vote for if I vote, I at this point, keep that information
to myself. That's why they call it a 'secret ballot'.
And what's not so secret is, I may not even bother with it.
Let the wind blows where it may. I get tired after a while.

I'm glad enough to put some songs out, maybe I get a point across,
and maybe I don't.

I wish you good fortune and happiness, Larree, and I am in no way,
shape, or form, trying to engage you in any kind of a battle.

Okay?

Peace, Brother.

"a guy like Donald Trump comes along, and it becomes Trumpmania

When you say EVERYONE that includes me as I OPENLY support Trump for president, so anytime I see something like this I will respond.

And just to clarify my position, since you asked,
about how I responded to this post, since it seems you are
sensitive to this entire subject....

Well, take Mexico for example...
people called that hateful rhetoric what he said in the beginning about them;

"They're bringing drugs, they're bringing guns, they're bringing burritos..."

okay, maybe he didn't say that last one and I'm just silly and hear
it that way in my head, my bad.

I heard the soundbite of that the other day, and thought of
that third one, and said it out loud, at home here, and thought it was funny.

And of course, a lot of people, maybe who live near borders,
did respond to that... one could argue, that anger does occur
in people if a particular issue needs to be addressed, but doesn't,
and doesn't for a long period of time. Then, people get very angry.
And once that happens, one arguably can call it hate.

But sometimes love can beget hate;
say a couple of parents lose their child to gunfire...
they love the kid, they hate who did it.

And not for nothing, Mexico isn't quite a place I'd wanna go to,
they just elected a Mayor there, and she's not on the job one day,
before organized crime there assassinates her in her own house!

If you ask me, the whole world is out of control,
and this is, why, and I have no hate in my heart as I say this, Larree,
not for you, not for anyone, but this is why,
exactly because the nuts of the world ARE so out of control,
that I personally suspect we are living in the so-called Last Days.

And that, it may well be, that at this point,
as Bob Marley put it, 'it may be, total destruction, is the only solution'.

I'd rather, frankly, see that, than all the evil scumbags just
take over, and rule us all.

'Cause there are some who would like that.

I would not want the 'Islamanazis' as you refer to them, to win,
anymore than I would be rooting for Hitler if this were the era
he was in.

Look, this post, from what I see here, asks,
'is hate always a bad thing'.

Honestly, no, no it's not.

Because it's our right as Americans, to feel as we may.

A few days after Trump brought up the border that useless illegal dirtbag who should not have been here at all killed that woman in San Francisco. I don't give a fuck what Donald thinks about anyone's bathroom habits because people out there want to kill us. Like that god damned ISIS loving piece of shit who tried to kill that police officer in Philly last night. Donald Trump was right when he said we have to stop allowing people in until we can fix the vetting process. I don't give a fuck what Trump thinks of public breast feeding. We have serious problems here.

Oh for Heaven's Sake, Larree!

I don't mind if you respond.

I don't. At all.

All I ask, is that you try to hear what I am trying to say,
and allow me leeway to say it in the first place.

Look, someone could call how I feel 'hate',
what with saying that I think it's better it all ends,
than the Islamanazis ever win, and subjugate us all to 'Sharia Law'.

God Gave Us All Free Will,
So Sharia Law is an abomination to The One And Only God.
Whatever you wanna call God. It's one, there are no other gods.
There's just God.

And they wanna in the name of the same God who watches
over us, kill us, and make slaves of us, and yeah,
they mean business...

so I take a very harsh position with that, because if there is
even a chance they could win, I say blow the whole world up.
That, could be called 'hate', Larree.

And yet, saying it, even feeling that way,
well that's my right as an American.

Look, honestly? I am undecided, about who I think
really really SHOULD win this.
And sometimes, I think Bernie, and sometimes, I think Donald.

Hillary, is cute, and she looks good naked to me
(though I'm sure that's a faked picture)
but she is also way too smooth a politician, I frankly distrust it,
and can't help but distrust it, she's tooooo smooth. Is what I'm saying.

So I don't know how much I trust her, not like I trust Bernie
to mean the things he says.

And honestly, I admire this about Donald:
He's a guy who just doesn't back down,
and even if he has to soft pedal something now,
you know, I know anyway, inherently,
this is a guy who'll take it down to the wire if need be.

That's an admission of admiration, Larree.

Do you at all understand my position a bit better now? Seriously?
Because, please, ask, I'll take the time to explain it.

I actually support, one's right, to feel how they feel,
even if it is something that some person, could call 'hate'.

El Chapo, was captured, just recently.
Already his sons, are threatening the Mexican Government...

Shit is MAD out of control...

and Donald is a Hard-Liner who is at least on the side of America,
as opposed to being some damned Islamic Cleric
smiling as he calls for all our heads.

You get me yet, Brother?

Okay, Larree. Okay.

That's fair. I hear you.

"we have serious problems here, so fuck this little shit,
I don't care if he thinks this and this about female bodily functions,
it isn't the more pressing of issues that we face" I get it.

Also, you hadn't read it yet,
but I basically just agreed with you to a good extent,
about him calling out the cesspool Mexico has apparently turned into.

You cited an illegal from Mexico committing murder here,
after sneaking in....

I was actually talking about something that happened
in Mexico, a mayor, a nice woman, just elected,
assassinated in her own home by organized crime there.
Now that, I call a friggin' cesspool. In her own fucking home!

You and I, truth be told, Larree, may be on the same page
a little more than you think.

Incidentally, I very much appreciate you sharing
the info on the LWW website, the mailing address, etc....

Very much so.

And just so I say this too, since we're talking about Mr Trump,

it's a touchy sort of subject, and in order to make
it work correctly to actually
do a song called 'Vote For TRUMP! He'll END THE WORLD!'
I have to sort of sound, well, sort of neither here nor there about the whole thing.

Just, oddly and calmly matter of fact.

So, a listener, can't really tell, if I'm for, or against the guy...

and that is do-able, because of the crazy times in which we live.

There are people out there, sitting on the political fence,
and maybe they'd hear a song I may make like that,
with a title like that, and decide 'oh gee, this sounds harsh',
on the other hand, they may also have noticed,
as have you and I, that oh things on planet earth
by now are getting pretty harsh as a motherfucker,
and then, they may think 'maybe it's just time to call it a day on all this shit'.

It's all in the presentation.

And you and I may not be as different as previously I have
given you occasion to think. And if that was my doing, my bad.

Peace.

Okay, I'm not even gonna pug it out with you anymore on behalf of Obama.
He's a big boy, I think he'll withstand it.

Bush? Larree, that dude, yes, GWB, is my friggin' Cousin.
And I don't trust him as far as I can throw him,
which is why I'd rather see God make the sun blow up
and kill us all tomorrow, than see Jeb ever win that shit.

Hillary, like I said, she's too smooth a politician for my liking, it just irks me.

Obama, did catch Osama bin Laden,
and George didn't, all 'cause -I think- his dad told him not to,
on account of once they'd done some kind of business...
I don't know the details, but I remember,
I remember 'cause I began reporting to presidents as just part
of 'what I do' days after 9-11,

so I remember, clearly saying to George,

"George, you're letting bin Laden get away? Why George?"

George didn't have an answer for that, not for me,
not for the American people.

Say what you will about Obama, it is your right as an American,
I was never trying to squelch you, only to get you to explain yourself,
that I may personally better understand your reasons.

But Obama did, in all fairness, give the order to send out
the mission that caught and killed bin Laden.

But okay, you wanna hear something about what Bam's done
that I don't like?
I don't like that I'm two hundred bucks poorer each month,
'cause Obamacare took that out of my social security.

And I don't even subscribe to that shit. God is my physician.
I completely distrust so called 'modern medicine'.
I am that way. And that too is my right, as an American Adult.
But because of that Obamacare thing, I get my pocket picked
to the tune of two hundred dollars, each month,

JUST SO SOMEBODY ELSE GETS HEALTHCARE.

I only asked what your reasoning was.
But you ain't even gotta tell me. That's fine too.

You reserve the right not to, not a problem.

We may be more on the same damned page than you think Larree.

Speaking of 'same book'

I put in the request at my local library for 'Art of the Deal'

believe it or not, there was only one copy they had
in all of the Queens Library circulation,
but I'm on order for it, so sooner or later, I will be reading that.

Yeah, we're reading the same book,
and may be on the same page more than you may think,
or more than I may have yet articulated... yeah?

Sharia Law, is An Abomination To God.
God Gave Us Free Will.

Now, some of these whackjobs, like the "Islamic Clerics"
....could, call for my head for just saying that!
They could put out what they call a 'Fatwa' on me.

For just saying that.

They're plain Evil, and they need to be stopped.

And that, saying that, just then, they could kill me for.

Really not so different, Larree... I may just not be as up front about it as you.

President Obama is totally unable to get outside of his ideology to deal with current problems. My idea of gun control these days is to train everyone how to use firearms properly and arm as many qualified citizens as possible.

Okay, that articulates one point, regarding Obama.
But you know what?

Let's let that go. It's old news anyway.
The guy is on his last year of his second term in office,
after that, he writes a book and opens a library,
and still has Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.

Personally, I don't know, that I would myself want to own a gun.
But I support the right of any American, including
ones who live in the cities, 'cause it's really hard to legally obtain
one in the cities, I'll have you know, you almost have to
buy it under the counter if you want one in the city,
because they won't grant too many licenses in the cities,

easier to get 'em in the rural areas...

I do think people should probably have to be trained,
because way too many home accidents occur,
and some of them could have been avoided with better training...

but again, fine points, you and I, again, more or less basically agree.

Add Comment

1/9/2016 10:33:38 AM

okay, again, fine points, Larree.

not worth arguing at this point.

But I'll say this before I go off to do other stuff,
and I've frankly enjoyed our discussion here, Larree...

CPR, I don't give a fuck who knows that, even if I die because of it.
It's not someone else's responsibility to know how to give me
CPR if suddenly I need it. If I'm meant to have it, God will put
somebody there who knows it. If not, See Ya!

You can't drive a car legally without being trained to be able to,
and proving that with a driving test, thus giving you your license.
I personally DO think a license should be involved, and proper training
also should be involved...

but at the end of the day, is someone needs one for protection,
and, oh, say just because they live in NYC, where it's damn
near impossible for 'average folks' to legally obtain a firearm,
well that's where simple law of supply and demand,
creates avenues not on the map.

Ideals are one thing, how it all works out in reality, can be another.

It's been interesting talking with you. See? We're not so damned different.

Later.

Peace.

~L
