a good melancholy song, telling an all too familiar tale...
I can see why you like it. I think cello is a more lower register, like more bassy,
and viola, I'm not even sure, I always took it to mean a slightly larger violin,
which, it may actually be, I suspect so, though I'm not sure.
I do know there are strings on this recording, having just heard it,
and would venture to say, very possibly both, cello, violin,
maybe even contrabass (like cello, but even lower, I think) and viola,
which again I'm guessing is a violin with possibly, possibly more baritone range...
uh, are on this record. It's a good song, simple, heartfelt, to the point.
