Looking for some airplay on this new song. Comments welcomed
Hello everyone
I just posted a new song called "Beggar in the Night"
I could sure use some airplay for this one. I hope you all like it.
Comments are always welcome.
1st song on my page. Sorry I still have not figured out the link thing.
Words:
Beggar in the Night
Verse #1
A beggar came to me, just the other night.
He asked me for some money, in the pale moonlight.
So I said, how bout a burger, as I kept him in my sight.
When I turned around, he was gone gone gone.
Beggar in the night.
Verse #2
I took the burger with me, headed down the street.
I saw a bunch of beggars, nothing much to eat.
So I gave them, all a section and I’m sure it tasted sweet.
I told them of, the man I saw, he was gone gone gone
Beggar in the night.
Lead:
Verse #3
Heard a whisper in my ear, don’t you worry no more.
I’m the man you helped out, one of the very poor.
Each night I test a soul or two, to see if they are pure.
Then I leave this place and I’m gone gone gone.
Beggar in the night.

This post doubled somehow so I deleted one of them.
If you had posted something, please post again.
Sorry about that.

I like the film noire vibe, w that darkstreet guitar wailin', kudos...
The storytellin' is clear and decisive, and touches on big themes i.e. hunger, desperation, apathy.
To be honest the 3rd verse put me off a bit initially, it seemed a bit off the tone of the realism in the earlier two verses.
All in all, a unique sensibility f'sure, kickkin' production also...
Cheers...

Thanks Steve!
Those are great comments.
So the story is on the third verse we find out that the beggar is actually an angel that goes out and tests people. Are you one of the stations that added this song?
If so thank you very much.
Actually thanks so far to two stations. Change the World and Phlegm Phavourite Country.
I may put a thank you post up later. I wasn't able to say thanks yet on the actual stations but I'll try again later.
I actually got this song from a true story I read about. Not the angel part. :)
