IMP for 2 HRS!!
Hello everyone.
Well, it’s that time of year again. I’m getting ready for the 4th of July company picnic/fund raiser. I'm a Viet Nam era veteran and I belong to the veterans group at work and every year we charge $5 a plate and the proceeds go for care packages to send to our deployed servicemen and women overseas. We also help out retired and disabled Vets locally (Habitat house builds etc.)
I mention this because I do the DJ/Music for this event. I gather about 2hrs of great Jams and this year I’m going to feature Indie artists from this site!! Yes, IMP will be played to about 1,000 people for about 2hrs!
There is no contest. I’m doing this because Indie artists and this site needs more “up-front and in your face exposure”. I’m picking music randomly so don’t bury me in personal suggestions please. I will contact you and ask permission to play your songs. I will keep a stat sheet and let those people know how their music was received, or asked about, or complimented on, etc.
I don’t know if I could do this live via link, but I will have a set list and will probably create a station AFTER the event.
I see this as a WIN- WIN -WIN for everybody. There is so much Creative and Great music here that I feel it cannot go unnoticed.
Remember that it’s also for a good cause. The Vets we help, risked their lives for our right to free speech and the right to express ourselves as Artists!

That is so awesome Duane. By the way, thank you so much for your service to our nation. I am also a Vietnam Veteran. That is such a cool thing you are doing to help IMP artists and vets alike. We keep saying that we are going to get together and hang out seeing as we live so close to each other. We will have to make that happen this summer. I am home most days as I am retired. So holler at me anytime.

For those of you that do not have your songs set up for sale, all I can do is ask for your blessings and an MP3.
This list is to be finished in about two weeks. I gave myself plenty of time to round up some of the best music on the planet!
