Fairytales voted #1 Internet-only release of 2007
I spend a lot of time on myspace.com encouraging people to have a listen to my music, and I've got to admit, most of the time its fairly fruitless. I think every band in the world is trying to get made on My Space, which makes it hard for the average listener to motivate themselves to listen to every song that is chucked in their direction.
Occasionally, however, you get someones attention, and it's really quite nice. Last week I was emailed by a fellow myspacer,
Dan, who brough to my attention his yearly run down of all things musical. In his top 3 'Favorite Internet-only Releases 2007' sits 'Fairytales' at number 1.
You have to be pretty patient to get a decent reaction online. Its hard enough to get people to listen to your music once. To find out that someone has not only listened to it consistently, but rates it highly amonst other releases this year, is nothing but a privilege.
