This is a historic night - I hope you're watching :)
You can tell your children about seeing the great President, Barack Obama, nominated for President of the United States of America during the Democratic Convention, August, 2008.
Well, OK, not exactly tonight, but tonight you can listen to Michelle Obama talk about her man. But that's ok, too.
:D

I thought Michelle gave a stirring speech, didn't you, Larree? Jackie Kennedy couldn't have done what Michelle did.

I have not watched T.V. in about 8 years .... a friend invited me over tonight to watch the convention ... I'm glad I went ...
Michelle was magnificent ... She didn't come off to me as a fake at all ... I think she actually believes in a better America ... and I believe her when she says her husband does too ...
I don't think you will see that out of Cindy McCain ... mostly because her and John don't come from a "regular" background ... The McCain's haven't been there ... the Obama's have ... and I believe they are much more grounded people ...
If Barack wasn't running, I think Michelle would make a better President than John McCain ...
People say Barack is no Kennedy ... but even Caroline and Ted did a favorable comparison ... and I figure they know more about the subject than all the blow hard nay sayers do ...

Michelle was really something, wasn't she?
That was also very moving when Ted Kennedy got that ovation, to see his family in the audience getting all emotional. Wonder if his dream of national health insurance will come true while he's still alive?

Laree, CSPAN is a great idea. Why didn't I think of that?
