Eat red onions. They are good for you.
Kill bacteria. Unclog your heart and arteries. Scare off the cat. I can attest to all these benefits personally. Gonna write a tune about them. Already wrote one about St. John's Wort.

I've always felt that Red Onions were right up there with Carrots in the categorical listings of under appreciated vegetables.
And while not nearly as palate pleasing as a good, crisp, carrot, they are nonetheless clearly not without merit.
Not like stale, damp, old straw. Stale, damp, old straw completely sucks. Totally lacking in both taste, and texture, and notoriously limited in aesthetically pleasing presentation possibilities as well. ...fit for nothing beyond Zebra fodder imho(In most horse's opinions).

I can't eat onions or garlic raw, I'm allergic. Love 'em cooked though.
