Boo hoo more threads deleted today
Oh boo hoo cry me a friggin river.
I am really getting upset with topics of discussion that are important relevant conversations gets removed because some share holder cries that too much internal information is discussed. Well each of these topics was started by admins not pipeliners and maybe it was not the topic itself but the discussion within the topic
it seems to be a trend lately.
So for you mystery shareholder who pull the thread and all our threads disappear how would you suggest active members participate in such discussion since we have no other avenue to do so in a forum other than the pipeline?
Its our site too mr big pants shareholder and some of us contribute what we can to the site as well. So tell us mr bigshot how do you suggest the active parties who make this site live everyday participate?

It wasn't shareholders, it was me.
What it's about is that every thread I start about any topic that's about some specific site improvement turns into a free-for-all thread about everything that's wrong with the site. This is why we have a rule that site discussions are not allowed. I make the slightest exception and it's all anybody wants to post about while not starting threads about anything else.

Scott, you need to allow these discussions to flow, man. We all want to make this site better, but cutting off the discussions is not the answer.

You said in your blog you got a letter from a share holder that was concerned about internal discussions so you sent a letter to yourself or there was no letter you lied about it and used that as an excuse to pull the plug?

I did get a letter from a shareholder but long before I got that letter I was contemplating pulling the threads. After all I did make a rule about not having site discussions on the pipeline. It kind of bugs me that there's slight participation here in general but then I can't bring up a specific topic without it turning into a long discussion about all the problems with the site.

OK well try to look at the bright side we don't bring up the problems to bring you down. Your the best Scott. We bring them up because well its an opportunity to make things better. We see your topics and our minds spin a million directions at once about how we can make our home an even better place to be.
I'll say it bluntly that when we are actively participating and trying in our own way to move this ship along and we get cut off at the knees for it. It kind of gives the communist impression that admin rules and members drools which I know is not true but it feels that way to me.

you seemed to contradict your self when you said it was not share holders but it was you but I guess it was a combination of both.
I'm upset that the threads were pulled so if you'll excuse me for a bit I think l'll take a breath. It was never about being accommodating it just appears rude to cut us off mid sentence but you might think its rude that we bring up the site problem in the threads.

This is why a moderator is required, but that would be over the top,.too much control, we need to self govern, but at the same time be self controlled and not allow knee jerk comments to show our immaturity, there are certain requirements we should be aware of here, diplomacy and tact, sometimes that doesnt happen, and rabid hair brained whacked out responses happen , so let us show some decorum and respect. I want this place to be a fun place, but not at the expense of others or the site
lets be cool all. perhaps this type of thing drives people away, ever think of that. i see the point of some for not having the pipeline on the front page, but then again, we just need to cool our jets and not be so reactionary.

Well the way I see it, you guys are chompin' at the bit wanting to discuss the site. If I open things up at all, you want to drive a bus thru the wall. It's like you smell blood. I can't have a specialized discussion about a creative idea, like that ad without it turning into an endless complaint airing. After the topic is so blown out of the water that it's not being discussed anymore, I go to shut it down and I got an army comin' at me. and, well.. that sequence of events isn't working for me.

I am through with the site discussion. i think i said , lets just be cool, like you have Scott. and to me in the past when ALJ and I had it out, but I have no interest in site inner workings, I am done, too much talk, was like a radio talk show, a blur of jabberwokcy

I see your point Scott and I don't envy your shoes at all. If it was me I'd probably run away screaming by now on this one topic alone and as you said there have been many.
I apologize for jumping on you. For my part in the band wagon jumping I wave the white flag in truce.
My intentions in the other discussions are good but maybe they don't always turn out that way.
We are a passionate bunch you can say that much for us. We will never know how much literal blood sweat tears and your own money you put in this place and I am thankful for you.
Maybe we need to figure out another way to discuss site improvements but I'm not sure what that is right now.
Thank you for your accommodating us as long as you did other site probably would not ever started it or shut it down way earlier than you did. Your like a patient dad trying to teach a punk kid how to act and sometime at least I fall short of the mark of expectations.
