Is there anybody out there who still thinks they're good enough to be a rock star?
I used to enjoy the rare bursts of cockiness.

And I believe I'm a rock star

Given the money and time (just like Phlegm), I KNOW that I am a rock star.
Just gotta get my songs down and then get them out there.

crashTV are good enough, if they can keep it together...
I'm not sure what their relationships with each other are like, but if they could really take their scene on the road and not lose it they could be big.
there are some great songwriters on the site that dont have bands and dont gig, and the fact that they haven't made that leap makes me doubt whether or not they could do it.
Bands are hard work...

I'm not cocky but I do believe in myself.
Am I good enough? I'm getting there.
Will it ever happen? I'm starting to wonder.
It takes as much luck to make it in this biz as it does hard work and talent.

I'm definitely cocky enough, and I believe deeply in what we are doing, but I don't think my style lends itself well to the "rock star" moniker.

I have played in bands, and a few of them I know given the right circumstances could have made some noise. The problem was there were too many songwriters in the band, and a few wanted to take complete charge. As a result, things imploded and we had no focus. I was laid back and just wanted to play music. Given a chance to do it again I would concentrate on getting the best musicians I could, that were focused, and most importantly got along :)
Most of all, I would have taken some time to go at it 100% full time, and took some risks...It is a big regret I have to this day.

Don't want to be a rock star anymore. Rock stars are not about being good, or true, or honest. Rock stars are about ego and money and power and marketing.
So your question, "Am I good enough?" doesn't really make sense to me. I'm good enough to say, at the end of the day, that I've honed my talents to where I'm comfortable sharing them anytime, anywhere. I think I have gifts that make me unique. I think I've written some music that will stand against anything out there.
If I never made a dime from my music and yet everybody could sing the chorus to one of my songs, I'd consider myself pretty lucky. I don't have the angst it takes to be a rock star. I don't have the need to be famous. For me, just knowing that a few thousand people have heard my tunes on IAC is pretty gratifying. I wouldn't pass on the fame and money if it were to come my way - but that's not why I make music.

Don't care.
Period.
Lousy question.

I dont care for banana's

Lousy fruit, kinda gay

Banana is over rated and does not match the clever wit of flea on the wall er whatever
