They are both divisive and neither is all sparkling clean. Meaning, neither is really good and both have bad elements about them. So I would say that this election is bad vs really worse than bad. I won't say which is which but I will say that there is no way that me or anyone that is close to me is going to vote for Trump. He doesn't even try to hide his hatred and prejudice. He just puts it right there on display for all to see and believe me, we are "all" watching and taking notes. Things are really bad when you have to point out your one African American fan in the audience of thousands of people. I wouldn't vote for him if he was up against the real Hitler. Amazing that people would actually butcher Hilliary's name like that by trying to connect her with Hitler. But her record in regards to civil rights is stellar. Yet, the one who espouses the most vitriolic hatred is.......drum roll.........wait for it............TRUMP. So yeah, he has already won the most hate mongering candidate ever award. Having lived for many years I can truly say that I have never seen a candidate that minorities despise more than him. He thinks that he can win a national election without us. But he is in for a rude awakening. His brash and overtly racist dogma will bring out so many minority voters that he will lose by a landslide. Watch and learn in November. He will fail and the Republican party will be so damaged by his demise that they will lose control of both houses. How do I know this? I just know that the forces of hatred will never prevail in this country. I know history and I know that Americans are basically very decent people who care about our nation. We don't want to build walls or discriminate against people because of their religion. That is not who we are and that is not what I put my life on the line to protect as a veteran. I fought to protect the right of all Americans and to preserve the American way of life. I fought so that people like the Orange Demon can freely have their say. Even if I don't like what he says. I would defend his right to say it with my own life. Racists have a right to speak but they do not have the right to impose their ideology on others. We, have a right to speak back but most of us will let our votes do the speaking and that will be the end of Mr. Trump and his merry little band of racists. I do respect the fact that he speaks his mind but I do not like the shit that is coming out of his mind. It is all nasty negative crap that no candidate should ever say. I am looking forward to the next President Clinton. She will have a daunting task as the hate mongers will probably treat her even worst than they treated Obama. They vowed to fight him tooth and nail on every corner of the legislature and they did. I have to give them credit for following through on their threats. Yet, in spite of their efforts, he prevailed anyway. I believe that she will also prevail with Bill giving her insights and wisdom. Let the more humanistic and equality loving majority of American's rise up with our votes. That will be the last word in this election.

I'm actually somewhat of an authority on aliases. Back in the MP3com days, and that sometimes wonderful MP3com forum, I had close to a hundred of them. I admitted to tons of them on the day the forum disappeared.
I didn't use them to anonymously deliver vituperation without consequences to my (hahaha) public image ( a use which was rampant there, actually. There were some really mean and nefarious people hiding behind those masks, who were very successful cowards. A commentary on human nature), I used them for several rather clean purposes. I used them to deliver arguments or opinions which would not be prejudiced by what peeps thought of me. And I used them for comic effect. There's nothing wrong with either use. In doing so, it was possible to achieve effects that are not possible when you post as you. Herpes Analaxis, that fine Greek gentleman, can testify to that.

Hillary Clinton has conceded that she "did misspeak" about landing in Bosnia under sniper fire, blaming tiredness for a dramatic description that was shown to have been significantly exaggerated.
The Democratic candidate is engaged in a frantic damage-limitation exercise amid widespread derision of her comments about a visit to Tuzla in 1996.
"I remember landing under sniper fire," she said in Washington on Monday. "There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."
News footage of the event however showed her claims to have been wide of the mark, and reporters who accompanied her stated that there was no sniper fire. Her account was ridiculed by ABC News as "like a scene from Saving Private Ryan".
After initially dismissing the controversy over her comments as a "minor blip", she told a Pittsburgh radio station: "You know I have written about this and described it in many different settings and I did misspeak the other day. This has been a very long campaign. Occasionally, I am a human being like everybody else."

Yeah, fairly typical Republican responses. Would be nice to hear something original for a change. Original thought seems to be a missing element for both party supporters. It is the same crap all over the internet. So sickening how divided we are. I hope that people can learn to at least be civil with each other. The name calling, name distortion and the looseness of the facts does not give us much hope of a return to civility. Like Larree, we are all dug in on our positions and not much will change that. Too bad. It is an important election and we should look at all sides of the equations. That is why I have spent extensive time reading and listening to Trump. I just didn't want to be so biased that I miss something important. But so far, I have not seen him say anything that makes me feel more comfortable with him being the Commander in Chief. Everything about him scares me and even though I have never been very politically active. This year, I feel it important enough to get involved. So, for the first time in my life, I am going to actively campaign for and dsonate money to the candidates and positions I support.

One time when I was in Vietnam a White Marine we all called Sarge. Came up to me and asked me if I wanted ot smoke a joint. So. we went down to the Mekong and fired up. I sat there and watched him shoot up heroine (I snorted some) and we talked while the reconnasince boats came back in from their missions. He started telling me about his hometown somewhere in Kentucky. Then he said they had killed a bunch of "N words" during a civil rights protest. Suddenly I lost my mind and I grabbed him by the throat. I had a death grip on him while he squirmed and writhed tryin to get away. But I had him down and while I squeezed I remembered every single time I had been called that word and how it made me feel.
Then, some soldiers came upon us and pulled me off of him. He had the nerve to look me in the eye and ask me why I had attacked him. I told him to ask all those "N" words that he had killed why. Now, I almost got court martial-ed for doing that. But for me it was worth the risk. I'll bet you that man never said that word in front of another Black man. Imagine the nerve of him doing that while I'm sitting there with a huge Boatswains knife on my side and an M16 on my shoulder. Now, he claimed that he didn't know why I did that to him. He claimed that he hadn't said anything derogatory to me. But later when I saw him in Hanoi I pressed him on it and he said he just wanted to see what I would do if he said something like that. So, I was being tested in the middle of the war zone by a racist pig. He almost became a dead racist pig. I could see the life draining from him as I squeezed with all my might. The worst part was that there were so many assholes like him in the Nam that quite often I was looking behind more than in front of me. There were way too many friendly fire accidents happening to Blacks and hispanics. But I digress. All I am trying to say is that when you say ugly shit, ugly shit comes back at you. Don't act like you don't know that some of the things you say are fucked up. Try doing something that your candidate has never done. How about an apology for being a dick? I know you can;t help it just alike Trump probably can't help it either. But still an apology? That may go a long way towards assuaging ALJ's anger. Maybe then your offer of a joint will be more appealing to him. But don't expect him to stop being angry at you just because you and I are arresting hostilities. Many years ago I worked as a prison chaplain. One of my responsibilities was conflct resolution between prison gangs. That is where I get the word "De-escalation" from. I use to teach the inmates how to resolve their conflicts before they murdered someone. Most of the murders in prison came from something that someone said someone else had said and when you got down to the truth you would find that what the person said was not what they really meant. Or was taken in the wrong way. If those guys had the attitude of "fuck political correctness" there would be someone shanked daily. The things that you write or say go forward and become a part of who you are to other people. Some thing you say will never be forgotten or forgiven.
I went into a bar one night and a guy came up to me. I kind of recognized him but not really. He started sobbing and thanking me. I was thinking to my self like " who the fuck is this guy". Then he told me that I had come to visit a facility he was incarcerated at and he gave his life to God on that day. I learned that my words are far reaching and you never know when someone that needs encouragment, understanding or just a kind word may be listening and benefitting from the good things you say. it goes both ways. I choose to be to try to be inspirational because I know so many people need that. Other people choose to be dicks because they know that some poeple will be affected (hurt, angered, saddened etc.) by it. I always felt that lifting people up was more joyful thing than being dickish. It was so much fun for me to be there working with what other people considered to be the dreggs of society. But to me, they were just people who made big mistakes in their lives. Show me someone who has never made any mistakes and I will show you the biggest liar on earth. We all make them. But some of us try to redeem ourselves by making good karma with our deeds and words. I personally seek redemption from all the crap I did in my past on a daily basis. The souls of the lives I took haunt me at night when I go to sleep. That is why I don't stand for the flag or the damned national anthem. I gave this country my soul many years ago. I don't owe it anything else. But once again, I digress. Heheheh I do that a lot huh? I grow the best weed in Northern Cali. That's why! Let see, what the fuck was my point? Y'all have to excuse me now. I just had brain surgery two months ago. I may not be all there anymore. They keep giving me tests to see whats left. I am ashamed to admit that there is some gear in my studio that I no longer know how to use and some instruments that I no longer remember how to play. They really should take away my degrees because I no longer know half the shit I graduated knowing. My brain has been altered. But Larree, what the fuck is your excuse man?
