I saw the press conference today and was really proud of Obama
He's so utterly presidential, the way he's been handling things. This will be a great 8 years for America.

I agree.
I was impressed by all his choices ... particularly w/ Hillary being tapped for Sec of State.
It's too early on to predict whether it'll be great or otherwise. It's a tough job this man has inherited.
This election was all about putting "competent and smart" back into the White House.
I think Americans got that part right ... and in a another, more subtle show of confidence, holiday spending is ahead of last year already.

"wait & see", like they say 8-)
but I feel confident that it's a good thing...
and that our round little world is slowly but steadily making progress!
(50 years ago, we would not have dreamed that one day, Russians & Americans would share the same space station, and that black people would have the same political rights, would we?)

There's a slight problem with Hillary's new position. It's against the constitution.... which these days seems to matter much at all.
The second clause of Article 1, Section 6, of the Constitution reads, "No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office."
Just more unconstitutional governing, which doesn't surprise me at all.... especially since Obama hasn't even proven he's a real American citizen yet, which is also unconstitutional for a president and he'll get away with that too. Pathetic.
And what's with, "He's so utterly presidential..." You sound like a young school girl with a crush!! LOL

He's very presidential. More so than anybody we've had in there for a long time.
This birth certificate thing is one of the most pathetic desperate things I've ever seen. Wah Wah Obama won so let's try to diminish him by a rumor of a technicality.
As for Clinton, did you complain when William Saxbe did the same under Ford?

HL: He's very presidential. More so than anybody we've had in there for a long time.
UW: Just saying he's more presidential is ludicris! What's what supposed to mean? He's very inexperianced and more so that anyone in a long time. I think Obama has to act like he's presidential becuase he has no experience to back it up.
HL:This birth certificate thing is one of the most pathetic desperate things I've ever seen. Wah Wah Obama won so let's try to diminish him by a rumor of a technicality.
UW: Uh, no. It is not pathetic. It if were a republican it would be all over the news and it wouldn't have gotten this far. You know when yoiu have Obama's grandmother on youtube stating that he was born in Kenya that throws up red flags. Especially since Obama isn't parading his birthcertificate around and in fact he's not even saying anything. Now, will anything become of this? Don't know.
HL:As for Clinton, did you complain when William Saxbe did the same under Ford?
UW: Well, I must admit. I did not compain because I born in the later part of 1969. Had I been old enough I would have been agaisnt it. Today, I think it was wrong as well.
Do you or have you worked for the Obama campaign? I think that's your sole purpose here is to build up Obama like he's our "messiah" because you haven't hardly posted about anything else in your history here and you're not a musician.... ??? ;)

All he has to do is submit his birth certificate and the controversy is over, instead he has the Hawaiian Governor seal it so no one has access to it except him which makes no sense at all unless there's something to hide.
Then there the Selective Service issue. It looks like his '81 registration was done on a form from 1991 which would mean he was never eligible to hold public office.

The Supreme Court is meeting over a case brought by Alan Keys over these issues tomorrow. Judge Souter refused the first attempt but Judge Clarence Thomas granted the 2nd request and it's interesting to note Obama has showed utter contempt for both Keyes & Thomas in the past, he could regret that now.
My personal opinion is this matter should have been brought up years ago, even when he ran for Senator in Illinois. Since he was so fond of finding technicalities to get his opponents thrown off the ballot turn about would have been fair play.
But how do you do it at this point in time? No one has any respect for the Constitution, neither party, nor judges or politicians or citizenry for that matter. According to the Constitution Hillary should not be allowed to be Sec Of State either but it won't matter.., there are no laws that can't be ignored in the country as it exists now.

I didn't delete your post, Larree. I'd tell you if I did. I have a feeling it didn't go through. If I was going to delete posts I'd delete posts by the 2 lunkheads Sterling and UW.

LH: If I was going to delete posts I'd delete posts by the 2 lunkheads Sterling and UW.
UW: ha ha ha So anyone that disagrees or opposes you are lunkheads. Coming from you, I'll take that as a complement then. ;) That seems to be a reoccurring theme with the leftists.... if you disagree with us you're a bigot, homophobic, hatemonger.... or in this case, a lunkhead. LOL I guess you also support the so called, " (un)Fariness Doctrine" too. We must silence the opposition!

No the fairness doctrine is stupid and I also don't think Obama has any interest in that. I think it's just another fake flag being waved by the Rush Limbaughs of the world.
What else are you UW if not a lunkhead when you desire with all your being for the president-elect to be made ineligible by birth certificate issues? Even the guy pushing that suit says he may be totally out on a limb. I hate George W. Bush with a passion but I never fantasized about getting him removed by some silly thing like that, you're a loon and a lunkhead, c'mon.

ha ha ha I must admit. I find this terribly amusing. C'mon it was your guys who made movies about assassinating GW! Your hatred of GW was quite evident in your past posts. Ok, so now those that oppose you are now lunkheads and loons.
Is there anyone who thinks contrary to you that aren't lunkheads?
Can't you be more creative then that moron? ;) LOL

I know a number of conservatives who are perfectly reasonable individuals, who don't go to the fringes of the internet to find ludicrous arguments.
My guys? I don't even understand what you're saying there.
Why shouldn't I hate W? He's the worst president of our lifetime and it isn't even close. Talk about somebody fucking with the constitution, he's your guy.

|

ludicrous arguments? Being unconstitutional is not ludicrous arguments.
Like I said before, I do not approve of any descion that goes against the constitution. I voted for GW both terms but I certainly *do not* agree with a lot of his actions. As for worst pres in our life time, it's Jimmy Carter.
I have not seen where you have shown any respect to anyone who opposes you here.. I've only seen name calling etc..... maybe I missed some posts?

I think you missed a lot of posts, but sorry I'm just calling it as I see it. As far as I'm concerned, you and Sterling are both the fringe element and 98% of what you add to any political discussion is just red herring bs repeated from any fringe source you can find.
Now if you wanted to talk about whether we should bail out the auto industry, that would be one thing but all either of you want to talk about is your conspiratorial right wing loon topics.

Holo, you're the one who brought up the birth certificate issue, not me. And I don't think Alan Keyes or Justice Clarence Thomas deserve the type of insinuations you are throwing around here. Alan Keyes adheres to the law and the Supreme Court is meeting on the issue, it doesn't mean there's going to be an actual hearing on the matter. And it's not just Alan Keyes who if filing suit, there are dozens at the moment from a former PA Attorney General to people just as whacked out as yourself. I'm just an observer, personally I think this should have been done a long time ago but to do it now won't serve anyone's interests in the long run.

You're sorry alright. LOL Your figure of 98% is a based on what criteria?!? Did you read that at dailykos.com?
Honestly, I started posting because I saw a lack of opposition to bs posts like yours. Sterling30 does a great job of this and made it look like fun ;)

Haha, ooh Larree. How come you can get away with saying shit like that, but whenever I get a little feisty I get a scolding but someone or another. I must not have that Larree charisma going for me.

And should we allow anyone else who runs for president skirt the rules also? Arnold for president? I'd like to give Vladimir Putin a chance myself..
Would there be any reason at all why they shouldn't run for POTUS Qelizabeth?
