Reading through all the posts about writer's block, and the magic forces of creativity that we all have a love/hate relationship with - and I thought of an interesting job I completed a few weeks ago. It was background music for a local Boston Magician, Stephen Lourier who is working up a new act. He's still choreographing his moves, so I haven't seen anything yet, but compared to the 2 previous things I did (soundtrack for a health care company training film and mood music for a local Temple boutique video ad haha) this was really fun! Just thought I'd share........ (just demo quality - hasn't been mastered yet)

Bob, thanks for saying that so very much! That encourages me to keep going more than you know. I've read and re-read the things you've said on here about how to succeed as a musician. I really admire and respect your lifestyle of performing anywhere, anytime. It keeps the timeless and priceless role of troubador alive especially today when everything has gotten so media top heavy. I hope that doesn't sound corny, I'm totally being sincere :) You have the kind of courage that I'm always trying to have. It's hard for me to come out from behind that studio door.
Still looking forward to the video of "These Days They Move Apocalyptically" - hope they do the images of your words justice! Tons of good luck in advance with the release of The Punchline.

Meant every word of it Dolores, I think for you as with me, making music is a body/sprit necessity. Like food, sleep and breathing.
I never contend to know much. I just try to relay my experiences in really pushing yourself to be the best you can be. So many people talk of record deals and publishing contacts and all these fairy tale "Lana Turner in the soda shop" scenarios. That stuff doesn't exist. Not in the day and age of the "Lady Gaga's" and her ilk. The industry is controlled now from top to bottom.
Just take chances. One of my favourite sayings is...
"The universe LOVES courage, it rewards it."
