Jambrains - Cries of Angels
I've had this one up for review on a few other places but it looks to me as if the people at this place might add a somewhat different perspective.....

Some nice guitar work and interesting elements to the song. The vocal sounds like you just got done smoking a pack of paul maul's but I think that is intended. It does give a certain gritty presence to the song.

A little spit and polish and possibly a sonic maximizer or vocal clarifier to the rescue and you have a nice gem.

hi, i'll echo the review/commentary on my station "New and Noteworthy."

"rare to happen on such a full-bodied, poetic chronicle, recalling perhaps tom waits a bit, a gravelly vocal, but so bold and original, about the eternal drama, played out to tasteful layered guitars, pumpin' bass, with many vivid details, including "teenage couples, "slot machines," and"cries of angels," kudos..."

Congrats...

Nice keyboards and guitar work here. The vocal has this grit to it that I kind of like. Great guitar solo work also. The lyrics here are stellar as I can truly relate to this. There is a Pub that I use to frequent when I first retired from ministry and I saw so many lost souls that were caught up and heartbroken. I made it my mission to try to help ease their pain with music. So I would bring the guitar and sing songs for them. It always blessed my heart if I could make them smile. Made some life long friends in that place. I have heard the cries of angels and they are all around us hoping to be heard and saved.

Awesome work, deep message!

Love It!

Much Respect,
Stoneman

Good stuff. Can't think of anything at all to nitpick. Singer, channeling Barry McGuire ("Eve of Destruction"), only not ridiculously so. Would actually be interested in this guy's delivery with a balls-to-walls kinda rocking out song. Think he'd be pretty great.
Fairly conventional classic rock song, but enough dynamics and other variation to maintain interest and sound original.
Quality work here.
