Naive State of Mind Francesca Tamellini
Could you have a listen to this and tell me why it is less popular than the other two songs?
(and thank you again to everyone who has been so supportive)

I had heard your other songs so I gave this one a shot. This one is more meandering and doesn't have the same kind of pop hooks but I liked it just as much. I have a friend who struggles deeply with winter. My own issue is summer, I feel great pressure to have good summers and it doesn't always go that way.
Does anybody really know what's best for you other than yourself? I wonder about that.

It's funny you should ask this, because when I first heard your songs, that was the one that actually stood out to me the most. While I liked "I'm Not Baby Anymore" I personally thought that the chorus kind of wore out its welcome a little bit by the end of the song, whereas this one kept my interest all the way through. It has a certain tension to it that gives the song a more folksy, storyteller kind of feel, which I like. I agree with Bobby D. that it does have more of a "meandering" pace, but I don't think that is a bad thing, as the loose structure puts more attention on the emotions of the song and less on a catchy hook.
Anyway, that's my take on things at least.

You're welcome. I also very much enjoyed "I Guess I Should Say Thank You," by the way.

Illuminating comments, excellent thread. A bit of a mystery what makes a song beloved, or engages the consciousness of folks we never met, in different walks of life, also, when we all have busy day, and other things on our mind lol.
"Don't Baby Me", You give a memorable performance there, a pretty melody, emotional lyrics, catchy chorus. I was humming this song for hours!
When you have a song that brings a tear to m'eye, I'd say you've done a great job, you caught a wave, or a riff from a "cosmic jukebox."
I added it to m'station, on first listen. A toucha magic...
