You say you're Peter Pan but you look like Roger Daltrey. :)
Melodically and performance-wise you do a pretty good job with this song. The story is a little confusing though. I read thru the lyrics several times and still don't really get the impetus for the song.

Daltrey? Been hearing that for some years now... maybe the younger one! ;-)
The lyrics (for the most part) are coming from the sons point of view to his father...
I guess the key to me would be "why is it do as I say and not as I do why don't the same old rules apply to you and if everyone wants peace why are we always at war...
He's questioning the world run by these parents...
Peter Pan chose not to grow up... in this case the son is saying I'll do the same rather than be part of this
War sucks don't want anything to do with it!
He swings he misses...
