Anything by David Nyro
I've been getting some positive feedback on this song, which is cool, 'cause we almost didn't record it. Plus, my vocal is pretty much one take. The first take. Sometimes, that happens. (I re-sang a couple of parts that were a little pitchy, but it's pretty much one and done! Not my usual m.o. in the studio, as the vocals are the most important part of a song. But sometimes that one take is THE take.)
I'd really like to hear what the IMP community thinks! Thanks in advance for your brutally honest feedback. :-)
Namaste,
David

Quite a take, it is! I wasn't expecting those high notes at the end, but you definitely pulled em' off. I appreciate the movement of the song. Even though it is fairly simple and straight forward for a lot of it, the subtle key shifts (I'm assuming that's what I'm hearing, anyway) help mix it up in a non-obtrusive way. Nice song!

Right away has a good sound, intimate and vulnerable. The intro sounds good but not quite my taste, maybe a bit simplistic. I'm glad I kept listening because it really gets into great territory when the rest of the band comes in. The Slide guitar is a nice choice, un-typical. Very nice.

Great job David...like the guys said those notes at the end were a great touch and you have good range. I hear more harmonies and maybe a little more build but all the basics are there. Also, the reason your page is messed up is because you need to make your videos smaller, go into embed code and change dimensions to 425 by 344 and everything will drop back in place.
