I liked the "strange noises from the ether", but I would have preferred a more ominous feeling in a song about something that "will rise up to destroy us all". This song seems a little too mellow for its theme. My opinion. What do I know?

Hey Kurt,
Thank you for listening and posting your comments there is no right and wrong answer.

The presentation was made more to be the feeling of the priests in a vast unknown realm gathering to perform the incantations to summon the one from the deep.

These unknowing priests think that the one will rise up to do their bidding but instead it is much too powerful for them to control and basically destroys "them all" by eating them before going back to its slumber.

It does seem that the "strange sounds from the ether" is a fan favorite. We've gotten server comments from different sources on that part.

This song is in its demo format well see what we can do to make it be more foreboding in its final studio format.

I love the atmosphere and texture on this song. Something about it reminds me of a band called ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, which I obsessed over years ago and still enjoy to this day. Good vocal melody throughout, but I really like the guitar line during the psychedelic instrumental portion.

Perhaps my favourite thing about music is its element of escapism. Songs like this are evocative of some other plain of existence, both through the music and the lyrics, and it's a beautiful place (despite the gloom.)

I am very excited about this project overall.

Hello Mike,
Thank you for spending some time with us among the farther reaches.
"Beyond the Realms" is definitely an escape written in the depths where space swells and the abyss beckons.

"And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead" is certainly one of those bands that we would be privileged to be associated with. Seeing as it seems to be part of your musical journey means a lot to us.

While we might linger a bit in the gloom as you say it is our hope that the worlds we create may become part of others worlds in this vast universe. If one day someone hears one of our songs and it takes them to a different place in their mind. If we can cross such boundaries then we are truly grateful of such an accomplishment.

Those Priest(Of Today) do not even recognize their "priesthood". They do not "believe" in such things as this. They are truly "IGNORANT"!!! They'll pride themselves in "ignoring" the fullness of what it is that they all "participate" in. And just because they "believe" that they are not playing a "part"(as a "part"icipant) they will never see(until it is too late) what "IT" is that they have "conjured into being"! =M=

Well hello there Psyche's Muse,

We have long been lurking in the shadows admiring your work from the wormholes that bring sound waves to our realm.

What is a priest who does not believe? Nothing more than a man who plays dress up on Sunday while ogling the alter boys.

They participate in dogmatic rites have long lost their way but as you say they know not what they do or why they do so.

The priests in this conjuring believe they they as one can control the one of the depths but alas the one of the depths uses their foolishness to allow it to cross into the realm to feast.

Every 100 or so years some unwitting or unlucky souls suffer this fate over and over throughout the millennium.

It is a cycle like all other cycles. A perfect circle in unity with the universe playing its part.

We thank you for joining the forum into the foray.
