Da funky groove
Pulled this out of the vault, its another key synth heavy laden vibe and some horn section thang. kinda

da Funky groove

well, not a very original title I know, but thats what came out. and I tried the funky monkey , but thought thats been done probably a million times. so funk you guys if you dont like the name of the song

Feeling kinda like a good time, but like it needs further development. The phrasings seem to remain in little 2 bar seqments. Keep wanting a solo part to enter and play something with continuity that builds. I guess that guitar flourish is a reoccurring sample. Really wish there were more varying parts from the guitar. Maybe some muted high chords constant on the 2 & 4 beat for a stretch.
General impression here was that it's a napkin sketch waiting for further design.

Great idea ready for further development. Something happened right at about 00:10 during the change. Seemed like a very slight timing issue. I agree about the guitar part. It is a bit of a tease that gives us the tension but no release. I would either take that out or expand it (if possible) with further guitar licks. This is very funky though. Good beat, great synth work and you know I like those claps. Some Bass would do this a lot of good. A walking bass would be perfect in some spots. Just walk that puppy up and down the key. A keyboard bass would do just fine. But a real bass would have even bigger impact. I like where this is growing. Dress it up a little more and it will be ready for the ball. Good Job Bryon!

Love the sound on the guitar very nice. Correct me if I am wrong but it sounds like you used an old swing tempo which is very cool.

I thought the song had a cool groove and kept moving along nicely it had me tapping my foot.

I really like the ending with the guitar it leaves you hanging makes you want to start it over again.

I'll buck the trend. I like it how it is

Ken

yeah, its a swing thing. worked at putting on the parts and sections to give it an almost realistic feel, i thought it worked well on the percussion, so , anyways, i aint changing it, cause it has been getting airplay and pulling in royalties for me, not big but enough, i had one song pull in a nice coin on my cheque from SOCAN and some streaming ones and a few other tunes that have been on radio as well. I aint complaining. it is out there doing its thing
