Whitherward Thank you for adding our song Hand Of Fate to your station, Christomir! We're glad you like it! (thanks for the awesome comments, too! :-D )
Christomir You're welcome :) I am intrigued and will be waiting for your new album. Already subscribed to the YouTube channel and on BandCamp...
Richard Scotti Thank you so much for adding my song to your cool station!
Christomir You're welcome. Here I only add songs that I REALLY like, not ones that are just decent. ;)

Christomir Man, I loved that song :) I hope to find time soon, to listen through all of your other ones too, because you sure have a lot of them uploaded LOL
JeffAllenMyers Hey, Thanks so much for adding my songs....I am still alive and writing songs, just have not recorded them...been playing the acoustic a lot lately, and starting to feel it again :) Thanks again! Jeff
Christomir ^_^ Glad to know that. Can't wait to hear your new songs one day.
Larree Right back at you, Itso! Thanks!

Christomir Poirot, please check your PMs, I've written you one to ask a question...
JukeBoxJax Itso, your station is becoming quite impressive , keep it up😉
Christomir Thank you, Jacki :)
The Das Kaput hi! if you like Wet Dentist you should check out his new thing The Das Kaput!
David Nyro LMAO over Batman and Adele! HA! Thanks for adding "All You Ever Do is Rain!" Really appreciate this!
Christomir You are welcome :D
Christomir And yeah, LOL, I'm generaly a positive thinking guy - all about love, not hate - but I get trully irritated, when some mediocre and boring song becomes a global hit, and gets grossly overplayed in the media, to the point of making me sick of hearing it...
Christomir ...and that happnes only because the song "is the lead single by Adele" or "is the lead single by Madonna", or some stupid reason like that, instead of the actual quality of the particular song. People can be such sheep sometimes. :)
Mike Triba Thanks Itso for all the groovy IMP artists you have told me about, especially Whitherward and Tinatin. I just borrowed Ruby Tuesday as well!
Mike Triba Nice blurb of Music Monster buddy and your longest yet! You want me to rearrange the song order for you and all of WW at the top? Golden Kayaks are near!
Christomir Nah, I'm not too fussed about the song order - it's too much work to re-number all of them every time, so I only do it when I add new MLT songs...
Christomir For the other artists (even my next 2 favorites - Whitherward and Jeff Allen Myers), I just mostly leave them where they are. It's not a big deal - even if I put them right after the 11 MLT songs, they still wouldn't be on the first page of the station.
bryon tosoff thanks so much for the add, its a bit of an unusual piece, not for everyone sure glad you enjoyed the listen BT
Christomir You're welcome, Bryon :) Any plans for future piano compositions dedicated to other space probes? ^_^ Or maybe planets, dwarf planets, or moons??

So far, my #1 favorite song on this station (Though, since I added it, I have found artists like Whitherward and Ice Giants, who have some pretty brilliant songs too...) Definitely has a Beatlesque feel to it :) And yes, the Beatles are my #1 favorite band/artist of all time, so if something reminds me of their music and is good enough to be called "Beatlesque", then it is very good itself, by default. added to station 1/21/2017 11:49:51 PM

I didn't know that they have flamenco music in Puerto Rico too. Thought they were more into reggaeton on that lovely island. :P Anyway, I love this song; and I love the addition of lyrics in other languages besides Spanish in it - Greek, Turkish and Russian - so unorthodox for a flamenco song, yet it works perfectly here... especially the Russian line "Ya tebya lyublyu" ("I love you"), sung by the lovely voice of another great artist, featured on this station of mine - the Georgian-Russian-American pearl Tinatin Japaridze. ;) Kudos to you, Mr Sahin (the producer) for finding such talented singer/songwriters, co-writing great music with them, and even bringing them together, to create this kind of magic :D added to station 1/23/2017 1:29:54 AM

Very nice high-pitched vocals. Slightly Beatlesque, though it doesn't quite fully live up to the genre designation "Beatlesque Pop", IMHO... Lovely and elegant kind of song. I think parts of the melody remind me of some great old Bulgarian pop-rock song from the '70s or '80s, though I can't remember which one exactly... but that's a good thing, and I don't mean to say it's ripped off (if it was, I would probably remember which song it is from; and it's probably not famous enough outside Bulgaria for that to happen anyway), on the contrary - I like it when I find similarities of good music with older good music... added to station 2/1/2017 1:25:01 AM

I would classify this as pure pop, rather than "Americana", but either way, it's a great song. I don't have the prejudice that some people have towards pop music, and I don't think being catchy and fun to listen to makes it shallow. Good songwriting here, good instrumentation, and good job by both vocalists. All bases covered. Or should I say "bases loaded" ;) Unfortunately, the duo hasn't had a new song on here for a while, so I don't know when or whether they'll ever hit a home run with their next song, for a grand slam... added to station 2/1/2017 5:07:39 AM

Oh, wow :O I have Steve and his "New and Noteworthy" station to thank for yet another great discovery for me here on IMP. This song has a fascinating complex sound (instrumentation + lovely vocals, and melodies + textures), so artfully and creatively assembled by this Georgian lady, from such a unique and delightful mishmash of stylistic and even cultural influences, that it's impossible for me to define not only the main genre (it's absolutely not just "Brit Pop", as it's labeled) - frankly, even the different and diverse influences and styles are hard to exactly put my finger on... The song has both something retro, and something modern; something Western, and something Eastern... And I would have noticed the latter, even if I didn't already know the lady was from Georgia... and that's the Georgia on the border between Europe and Asia, not the US state :P Anyway, whatever it is, this is truly beautiful and meaningful, and at the same time infectious and dance-worthy; even - jump-worthy. What a fun little long ^_^ How did I miss it, when I visited Hugh's page before? The sax and banjo combination is so unusual, yet so cool :O I will digress here, but I have to say the style of this one reminds me (minus the sax) of a song titled "Homeward Girl" by British duo IDER, from back in the days, when they were known as "Lily and Meg" and created simpler and catchier music, which was actually fun to listen to... added to station 5/19/2017 1:20:51 PM

Sleeping With A Stranger
What an unusual, yet awesome song! Definitely in my Top 5 favorite songs from the entire discography of this band (yes, I have explored their entire discography :P). I love the waltz rhythm and feel to it, which (like every song in 3/4 meter, with some good melodies) makes me feel like I wanna spin in circles... except with my 2 left feet I can't dance anything properly, let alone - waltz...LOL But the feel is in there regardless, and it's lovely. Also, I have to say I'm generally not a fan of classical/opera style singing, and the vocals in this one are definitely influenced by that style a bit; and yet on this occasion I like it, as it somehow fits the song perfectly; which I guess makes sense, given the aforementioned waltz vibe. And finally, a big THANK YOU to the artists for uploading this song on IMP now, although it's an older one, not from the new album. I will keep nagging them for other such "old" favorites of mine (I put "old" in quotes, because I'm sure to most listeners in the IMP community those songs are new, simply because they have never heard them; which is something I think should definitely change ;)). added to station 6/28/2017 12:08:29 PM

Music Monster
My #1 favorite song by Whitherward! And that's saying a lot, as I really REALLY like quite a few of their songs... Since it's an "older" song too (see my blurb for "Sleeping With A Stranger" for more on that), I bullied Ashley and Ed into uploading it onto their IMP page now (LOL) and then I ran, didn't walk, to log into here and add it to my station... Maybe I shouldn't analyze it too much and try to put a genre label on it... Whitherward themselves listed it as "Indie Folk", but it's definitely more than just that - part of the beauty of such epic great songs is that they are almost *above* any genre classifications. Whatever it is, I simply love it. The melodies, the clever vocal arrangement and inspired vocal performance by both singers, the orchestral/chamber-music feel with the abundance of instruments in the backing track (which in this case doesn't seem excessive at all, as it fits the song perfectly; I especially loved the idea to add the trombone) - everything adds up to a brilliant work of art in popular music format, which somehow manages to be insanely catchy at the same time; rather than being "sophisticated" but actually just pretentious and boring, which sometimes happens when music artists try to be too... well, artsy; not in this case though - the *artsy* feel comes naturally, from within the Music Monster, and doesn't hurt the catchiness and enjoyability of the song for me (Do such words even exist in English - "catchiness" and "enjoyability", or did I just invent them?...LOL Anyway, whoever knows my music tastes, or even just looks at all the blurbs on this station, will know that those two qualities of songs, whatever they should be called, are essential for my music experience). And this blurb is already getting way too long anyway, so I'll just say this (borrowing a bit from the song page :P): Beware the Music Monster! When it is loosed, those in its path wither (not whither ;)) before its power! Muahahahahaha added to station 10/1/2017 8:24:44 PM

This song, from Whitherward's new album "The Anchor", is not even among my favorite songs from the album, and it's still very good - that's how good the album is. :D Actually, come to think of it, the only thing I don't like about this song is the sluggish tempo (though I understand why Ed and Ashley chose it); everything else is good - the melodies, the vocals, the instrumentation... Ruby Tuesday
I almost always like covers of Stones songs, sung with female and high-pitched male voices. It's because IMHO The Glimmer Twins (in this particular case - Keith on his own) wrote some great songs over the '60s and '70s, but I'd have never known they are great, if I only listened to them in the original Stones versions, with Mick on vocals - I simply hate most of their vocal arrangements, and Mick's voice and style of singing itself. So I am always grateful, when a lady (like Pete Townshend's woman here) takes a gloomy-sounding Stones song, originally sung in a depressing way by Mick, sings it in a higher key (or whatever the proper term is), and makes it sound much more bright and cheerful. And no, I don't care, when the lyrics are still gloomy and/or negative - I still like my music to sound bright and cheerful, regardless ^_^ added to station 7/2/2017 1:57:56 PM
