2017 Memphis Hard Rock Rising Winner
2017 Josie Award Nominee for Song of the Year (Blues/Jazz)
Mandy Vixen and Gas Station Chicken was founded in the Spring of 2016 when singers, Quint and Amanda Spraggs, formerly of Q&A Session, decided to add members to their successful acoustic act. There’s nothing as southern and soulful as gas station chicken served up hot and fresh, and this band really turns up the heat. The goal of the band is to offer original southern-fried soul music, as well as their take on crispy cover tunes. Serving up high energy, four part harmony, and world class musicianship, MVGSC aims to please your musical pallet. Their first single, “Smoke Rings”, was released in March 2017 to rave reviews, earning the band #1 on Reverberation in the region’s Americana category. Follow up singles will be released soon, as well as a forthcoming album.
Members include:
Quint Spraggs- guitar, lead vox
Luke Comer- keys, guitar, vox
Dan Comer - bass,
Amanda Spraggs- percussion, lead vox, vixen
