Pastor Kevin Washington

Pastor Kevin Washington is a native of Bradenton, FL. As a young child, he was blessed to grow up in a family filled with Pastors, Teachers, Evangelist, Psalmist and a mother and father who instilled Christian values in him. Growing up in a small town, Pastor Kevin got his start at St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie Mayes. At the age of 11, Pastor Kevin began to grow in his musical gifts such as, singing, playing the drums, and the piano. By the age of 15, he had shared the platform as a musician with many gospel groups in his local area such as, The Gospel Messengers, The Jewel Gospelettes, The Spiritual Calvaliers, The South Florida Mass Choir and many others throughout his local region. Pastor Kevin had been serving faithfully as a young man in ministry, which began a burning desire to grow spiritually and experience another level of ministry in his life. At the age of 16, with the guidance of his mother, lead him to Mount Raymond Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. S.D. Pollard. It was there that Pastor Kevin heard the voice of God and totally accepted Christ and surrendered his life to him. He served as the drummer for the church. Pastor Kevin experienced many rough times as a teenager, which lead him to a place of depression, and seeking acceptance from his peers. Although he didn’t fit in with his peer group, he knew that he had a special calling on his life. It was at that point in his life that he was encouraged by his music teacher, Mark Reeves of Southeast High School to enroll in a piano course to enhance his skills and knowledge. By his senior year in high school, he had re-written the school song, which was performed before the entire school accompanied by the school choir. He also received a superior award in a school district piano competition and an excellence award at state competition, which was held at the University Of South Florida in Tampa, FL.

By the age of 18, Pastor Kevin knew that it was time to continue moving forward in his spiritual growth and ministry. Pastor Kevin then continued his spiritual growth at Christian Fellowship Gospel Temple, under the leadership of Pastor Bea McCloud, where he also served in the ministry of music. It was at that time God anointed him to birth a ministry that would minister through music and song. In 1993 Pastor Kevin Washington and Pastor Charles Taylor founded “Praise –N- Worship.” The ministry traveled for 7 years under the spiritual guidance of Pastor Bea McCloud. From city to city, Praise –N- Worship traveled proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as changing and impacting lives of all ages. It was during this period that God sent him a help mate that would stand by his side. Sara McIntosh. Sara traveled along side by side with him in ministry proving to be a woman of virtue. Pastor Kevin and Sara married May 11, 1996.

In the year of 2000, Pastor Kevin had fulfilled his divine appointment at Christian Fellowship Gospel Temple. He then with the blessing of his shepherd Pastor Bea McCloud, went on to be lead where God wanted to place him and his family.
It was at SunCoast Harvest Center under the leadership of Pastor Timothy J. Dyson, that Pastor Kevin and his family found themselves a place of worship. As he began to continue his education at Keiser College for graphic design, Pastor Kevin was still working fulltime, being a husband and a father to a new baby boy “Isaiah”, and still finding time to serve faithfully in the ministry. Pastor Kevin served as a musician, psalmist, graphic artist as well as working in the office of administration. Along side him, his wife also served in such areas. By 2002, Pastor Kevin had shared the stage with many well know gospel artist of today such as: John P. Kee, Vicki Winans, Rick Derringer, Clint Brown, Sherri D. Dyson, Beverly Crawford and many more. It was at this stage in life God begin to teach Pastor Kevin how important gifts are to the Body of Christ. Pastor Kevin operated in every gift that he had for the edification and the up building of Gods Kingdom. This opened many doors in his life in which he and his wife had the opportunity to record and tour on a national level under the direction of Sherri D. Dyson, whose CD entitled “We Brought Our Best Praise” blessed the hearts of many people around the nation.

At this point in life God had equipped Pastor Kevin with enough tools to move to the next level in ministry. By 2003, Pastor Kevin had seen and observed things in his life that most people have not experienced. Working 2 years in the county correctional facility, 2 years in overseeing adults with alcohol and drug addictions, 5 years with teenagers dealing with abuse, gangs, drugs, and anything satanic you can ever imagine. Pastor Kevin remains focused on one principle which is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and nothing more and nothing less.

In 2003, Pastor Kevin and his family answered the call to become partakers of New Bethel Community Church under the leadership of Pastor Greg Booker. Walking faithfully and loyalty to the call on his life, Pastor Kevin stepped out on faith in August of 2004 to launch a production company “CMA Productions “. Since then, he has produced his first album entitled “I’ve Got News” as well as several other artist throughout his community. He has also been licensed as the Assistant and Youth Pastor under the leadership of Pastor G.L. Booker. He is the husband of Sara Washington and the father of Isaiah Washington. Both he and his wife have been the spiritual father and mother for two teenage girls Shakerinae Timmons and Terinesha McDonald. Pastor Kevin is also Florida Certified in Mental Health Behavior and is currently working as a rehab instructor for persons with physical and mental disabilities.

Pastor Kevin is a anointed young man who has a passion to lead people into the presence of God. He is excited and filled with energy that will energize and encourage your spirit. Pastor Kevin believes that the time is drawing near and that God has commissioned him to minister the gospel to all nations throughout the world.
