Jam-Bone is a jam band with roots in traditional rock ‘n roll and blues. It’s that simple. Three accomplished musicians, each with over 25 years experience, who share a profound love for the groove, spirit and art of improvisation have finally found a place to call home. That place is Jam-Bone.

Rich (guitar/vox): Rich brings an extraordinary range of musical experiences to Jam-Bone with his innovative guitar work and Garcia-like vocals. A never ending source of energy, Rich inspires the band with a “Let’s do it” attitude and fearless knack for tackling the unexpected. Musical influences include Jerry Garcia, Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour.

Steve K (bass/vox): An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Steve sings and is the bass player for Jam-Bone – but a bass player with a twist. Steve plays a Conklin 7-string bass, which allows him to essentially double as a rhythm guitar player and a bass player, giving a robust punch to rhythmic foundation of the band. As a guitarist, bass player and songwriter, Steve draws his inspiration from a diverse mix including; The Beatles, Frank Zappa, Geddy Lee, Phish, Grateful Dead, Les Claypool, Vic Wooten, and U2.

John C (drums/percusiion): John’s rock solid, in-the-pocket drumming is the rhythmic backbone of the band. His open playing style gives life to the improvisational aspect of what Jam-Bone does and makes every song bounce with a joyful exuberance that keeps the audience dancing. With influences such as Little Feat, Allman Brothers, and NRBQ, John has developed a style that allows him to easily navigate musical genres from reggae and jazz to New Orleans funk and flat out rock.

Got Bone? Two of the tracks for the upcoming (and still untitled CD) have been mixed. ""Gone"" and ""Dinosaur Parade"" are officially in the can and can be heard here on myspace as well as on our own website (www.jam-bone.org) . Anyone who's ever done any serious recording projects before will know how time consuming this whole process can be. We have two other songs basically recorded with just a couple of overdubs needed, and they should be mixed within a month or so if everything goes acdording to schedule. After that we plan to pick up the pace a little and get the rest of the CD recorded before the summer gets here.

We have both of these songs pressed on a CD now, and they can be purchased directly from us (just e-mail if you are interested), or you can pick one up at a show. We've started sending these 2-song ""ticklers"" out to radio stations in the area, but we need your help. Please lend us your support and go to http://www.wnti.org/feedback.shtml and request to hear either Gone or Dinosaur Parade on the WNTI Weekend Jam show which airs on Saturdays from 4 to 7 in the afternoon. We sure would appreciate the help.

In other news, we're gearing up for a couple of shows next weekend - on Friday March 3rd we're doing a semi-acoustic show at Lost Ladies in Washington, and on Saturday March 4th we're back at the Rat in Frenchtown. If you want to see and hear us up-close and personal, this is the place to go.

Thanks - and share the Bone.
