It all started about two and a half years ago....... David Wiser moved back home after living in Austin, TX for a year. He met Robert Maxwell (a seasoned blues drummer), and had him over to jam. It took about three minutes for David to decide to form a band. David and Max went to a local blues jam at Gearges in Fayetteville, AR where they met Tony West (a locally respected vocalist). Tony knew Jason Suttle (a solid and reliable bass player), a member of Tony's former band. The birth of David and the Diamondbacks! The band practiced relentlessly until David felt the time was right to take Northwest Arkansas by storm. They landed gig after gig with their cd recorded at Vintage Studios in Joplin, MO! They even played at ""Backyard Concerts"" (the 2nd biggest venue in the region). About four days before that show, Tony decided to leave the band. David (having never canceled a show before) said ""Screw it, we'll play it just the three of us!"" Since then David has done all the vocals. For the first year and a half David handled ALL of the booking, promoting, managing, accounting, and writing all parts of all their originals!! After some disagreements, David decided to hire Ryan Reeves (a local icon and the most respected drummer in the region!). In the last two years David and the Diamondbacks has been on TV several times, on over a dozen radio stations (one in London, England), in countless newspapers and magazines, recorded in eight recording studios, and has played close to 300 shows!!! Now with the addition of Sean Harris, their new bass player, and the band's new name, ""David Wiser,"" they have all the tools they need to become known nationally and plan to do exactly that! The band has a new sound that's a perfect mixture of John Mayer, Hadden Sayers, Joe Bonamassa, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Dave Mathews! David and the Diamondbacks hasn't backed off any, either! David Wiser/David and the Diamondbacks is booking their next tour and will be touring as both bands (the venue and crowd will decide which band is seen that night). So.... be on the lookout for David Wiser or David and the Diamondbacks in your town! Keep checking the web site for both bands for the release of the May tour schedule! www.davidwiser.com
