Known for his love of both experimental music and challenging commercial music, Ian launched himself into several projects in the 1990s. During this period he was part of the band Quanta which gigged with massive surround sound rigs throughout the United Kingdom. He also released 2 albums In The Beginning and Say Goodbye which resulted in radio airplay in the UK, United States, Canada, Australia and even Tartasan, Russia! Ian made several radio interviews broadcast terrestrially in Australia, the United States and Canada, and globally over the Internet. This resulted in several UK, European and World no.1 tracks on the hugely successful mp3.com.
Ian studied at the University of York where he became one of the first people ever to be awarded a PhD in Music Technology. He used the opportunity to immerse himself in music of all genres, resulting in the development of his eclectic style of music.
At the end of the 20th Century Ian moved to the famous city of Oxford where he developed his music further while researching and teaching experimental electronic music at Oxford University. It was there that he featured in a television special about his music and had his music played at international conferences.
Ian moved to Leeds in September 2002 where he took time out to assess his future directions in music. Now he is back and releasing more music. The journey so far has not been a conventional one ... and that's the one and only thing you can count on in the future!
