ryan VS. creamer was the brainchild of singer/songwriter Ryan Creamer. From humble beginnings on the campus of Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH, ryan VS. creamer transplanted to Cincinnati, OH in 2004. Becoming a staple in the local club scene in Cincinnati, doing regional touring in the Midwest, and sharing the stage as an opener for the likes of Gavin DeGraw, Josh Kelly, Oval Opus, and Zox, ryan VS. creamer quickly established an enthusiastic fan base.

For the debut EP from ryan VS. creamer, Ryan collaborated with producer/songwriter Josh Edmondson and bassist/songwriter Trick Martin to craft five songs laden with fun, wit and irony. ryan VS. creamer gives a common mans perspective to love, loss and yearning delivered with a playful organic groove. The EP features a host of musicians adding their quaint, yet distinctive voice, to what is immediately identifiable as ryan VS. creamer.

Over the years Ryan progressed from solo songwriter, to full band, to what is described now as, "piano and guitar-driven rock" in the style of Something Corporate or The Fray. The solo project known as ryan VS. creamer has evolved into an Indie/Pop/Rock project now known as "The Rise and Fall". The name is a symbol for the evolutionary nature of all life and art. An evolution that this musical project is embracing with a renewed sense of excitement and passion for the music they create. Under this new name the band plans to re-enter the studio in the Fall of 2007 to write and record new songs, in addition to, "I Was a Mountain" and "Only in my Head" for a new EP. the band has embraced this progression and is looking forward to hitting the road with their exciting, high-energy, live show.
