Alissa Moreno, whose music has been featured on MTV hit shows including, “Laguna Beach” and “The Hills,” is an acclaimed singer/songwriter. In addition to co-writing and singing the theme of the ABC show “Hope & Faith” (second season), her songs have appeared in films such as “Undisclosed” (Lions Gate Films) and the Slamdance Feature Film “Mall Cop.” Her music has also been showcased on soundtracks including “Laguna Beach” (Interscope) and Quentin Tarantino’s “Daltry Calhoun” (Miramax), as well as television shows including “Guiding Light” (CBS), “Wonderfalls” (Fox), and “How I Met Your Mother” (CBS).

Moreno has collaborated with noteworthy music industry veterans including songwriter/producer Jamie Houston (Kid Rock, Macy Gray, Santana, Bo Bice), composer John Swihart (“Napoleon Dynamite”), Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill), Ben Margulies (Mariah Carey), David Baerwald (Sheryl Crow), and Tony Scalzo
(Fastball).

Born on a Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico to parents who were school teachers, Alissa was raised in Albuquerque. She picked up the violin at age two and began pursuing piano at five years’ old. She attended the performing arts school at the College of Santa Fe, home of Greer Garson Theatre and Garson Studios. After graduation, she went on a vacation to Kona, Hawaii, and decided to stay. It was there that she had the opportunity to spend time with her grandfather, Bob Moreno, who had toured and written with Mel Tormé and Matt Dennis. He encouraged Alissa to continue her diligent study of music, leading her to be an extraordinary musician and singer.

Alissa is a renown piano and vocal talent, having worked on the set of “Truth, Justice and the American Way” (Focus Features 2006) as the vocal coach to Ben Affleck. She is also an actress, appearing in commercials and creating and starring in Los Angeles Independent Film Festival short film “Superchicks.” She currently lives in Los Angeles, and performs regularly at some of LA’s hottest clubs: House of Blues, B.B. Kings, The Knitting Factory, The Viper Room, and The Hotel Café.
