Hi folks! I am an independent musician and songwriter. Been writing and playing for the past 20 years. I hope you enjoy these songs. I love stripped down acoustic folk and blues music. That is mainly what I am going for with my own tunes. Poetry set to music and the rhythm of this wild and crazy universe around us. Along the way I hope to make people think and maybe smile a little.
On The Other Hand
When the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing.
Love, Learn, and Laugh
We gotta make the world a better place!
A Big Old Sloppy Mess
Not a pretty picture!
I can feel your warm golden glow.
Did You Follow Me Here (My Reincarnated Dear)?
Like a stream that flows underground.
Immersed in a game I can't win.
In the Wake of You
I can't accelerate through frozen time.
Used To Be Cool in High School Blues
Being a post-high school loser is hard to take!
Who Pissed In Your Corn Flakes? (Husband's Prayer)
There's nothing worse than not knowing.
You Have To Learn To Smile
You know the world could use a grin...Forget about all the trouble we're in
Partners in Crime
I love scheming with you!
The Isle of Regret
I got lost on a Sea of Conviction and ended up on the Isle of Regret
I Keep Accidentally Making Out With You
Watch out for those wandering lips!
Feet Don't Fail Me Now
Feet don't fail me now / When all is clearly lost / I must emerge somehow / I know there'll be a cost.
In My Head
Here's a look at what's going on up in this old head of mine :)
You can't float down Mad River / And just leave this mess behind you.
This is a new tune I just wrote recently. My uncle used to always say he was "tickled pink" about something. I've been threatening (to myself) to use it in a song for many years now. So here it is!
Hit 'Em Where It Hurts
I wrote this during the George W Bush era. I wrote the whole thing just to get to the last verse and the inevitable punchline. Also... the willow has grown weary.
It's so hard without you at my parents' house.
Walk of Shame
The truth it hurts in the guilty morning light.
Stuck Without My Long Johns Again
It wouldn't be the first time I've fallen from her grace!
I recorded this song live all by my lonesome earlier this year. I've been beaten down so much my skin is wearing thin...
If only life were this simple and sweet.
Lioness, I see your eyes in my dreams.
One-Eyed Willie (The Thirteenth Apostle)
Epic tale of an unsung sidekick and a popular fast-talking hippie. :) Co-wrote this with my IAC buddy Sam, the Man with No Band.
Why Jack Why?
Our favorite nursery rhyme hero is depressed but he's not giving up that easily.
Wish I Was A Turtle
I see you comin' and I'll snap back into my shell!
Have I Got A Story For You
Whenever you're down and you're feeling blue... Have I got a story for you.
Cup Runneth Over
Stripped down acoustic blues. Sometimes you're too much.
Bad Combover Family Intervention
This madness has got to stop!!
More unsung heroes...
Show Me Yours and I'll Show You Mine
Why doesn't anybody believe me when I say that this is a love song? Eric Chandler on mandolin.
The Long and Short of It (Ice Figure Skater Blues)
There's nothing worse than a bitter former ice figure skater from Texas!
This story is sad but true.
When I Fly
You know I fly for you...
Lake of Seven Mirrors
When you look in there's no telling what you'll see.

I just listened to your song "Lioness"-I had never heard it before and was totally blown away. It is beautifully written and performed. I want to hear it over and over again.
All is well with you I hope. I have been doing open mics with my garage band and with the acoustic duo/trio-it's been a lot of fun.

I've been away from here for a while too as evidenced by the fact that I just saw your message on my page. I am still playing with two different groups though one has slowed down over the summer. Have been doing some acoustic open mics both with one or two others and by myself-it's been fun.
I look forward to hearing your new songs and how you've redone some old ones. Your music keeps coming up on my I-POD by the way. I am actually on my way out now but will be back to listen as soon as I can.
Hope all is well with you and your family.

Just stopped by to say hi and see how everything is with you. We have survived winter in the northeast and if the rain ever stops we might actually have a spring!!!!
I've been playing with my garage band and also connected with two other people to do some acoustic stuff. We played a couple open mics and hopefully will continue to do that. I even snuck in a couple originals at one of them. It's been fun. Doing some writing-put one or two on my page in the recent past but I;m actually spending more time playing than writing right now.
What's with you? Are you doing much writing/playing??? Hope all is well with you and your family.

Exactly as you put it-an IAC grassroots concert and get together is what is needed !!
