Originating from the small Lancashire town of Skelmersdale, my early years were spent listening to musicians such as: James Taylor, David Bowie, Elton John and Led Zeppelin. During my teens, my musical awareness began to develop, and I started listening to bands such as: The Cure, The Smiths, Smashing Pumpkins, AFI, The Cult, and The Kinks. From a very early age my musical tastes were extremely eclectic. The more music I listened to, the more aware I became of my own artistic flair.

I began playing the guitar at the age of 15 wishing to follow in the foot steps of my idols. My first guitar was an old Fender Acoustic bought by my dad in the 70s. He passed it down to me and taught me my first few chords. The rest, as they say, “is history.”

At the age of 17, I began writing my own music and quickly gained a flair for song writing. The first song I wrote was Alibi – drawing upon first brushes with romance. My main influences aside from other musicians are: life, love, loss, and the state of the world.

I can now be found playing regular gigs around West Lancashire and Merseyside. I recently made a festival appearance at this year’s Skemfest, and in September will realise a life-long ambition to play at the Cavern Club, Liverpool where the Beatles story began.
