the you tube thread
I'd like everybody to think of a song that they love, that they would like to turn everyone on to. All you need to do to embed the youtube on the pipeline is post the embed code and hit submit.
I'd add that youtube is a good vehicle to put songs up because they have almost everything, not as concerned about the video itself as the music.

ok, immigration is a huge issue in the US and also an important one in the election, I thought I'd start off this thread by posting a couple songs from years ago that are still very relevant today. Neil Sedaka wrote this one about Lennon's immigration plight.

I just love every single sound in this tune ^. It's been my favorite song since I heard it a couple of years ago. Raul Ramirez calls his work Ecomusica. This is from his website:
eco:
pref. that which establishes a harmonious relationship between organisms and their environment.
musica:
n. Lat; the art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous artistic form of auditory communication.

Saw Jackson Browne Live here in Vancouver in the 80's of all the performances i have seen and i saw a lot of them in my 66 years. yeah i am that old, from the Doors, to the Who, from Gary Numan to Led Zep neil diamond, the young rascals, Frank Zappa way too many to name here, this stands as the top most amazing artist and performance and production for a live event , he had built a huge stage, with a circular stair case almost to the skies which he walked up and down, it was truly amazing., here is Running on Empty

Love Joni, Court and Spark is my favorite record of hers.
Here's Jeff Beck with a song by Stevie Wonder, possibly the greatest instrumental of all time.

Tonight when I was walking at the beach, this song came up on my iPod. It's like a rock opera in itself, and way better than the Carpenters version that actually got some radio play.

One of my all time favorites is Les McCann and Eddie Harris's "Compared To What". By the time I was 16 I had the Eddie Harris Sax solo memorized from back to front but I never could play it the way that he does. These were two of my favorite musicians.
