Thank God You're Back.
I'm off of SoundClick now, they hounded me so bad I demanded
they delete my account----and it's occurred to me someone paid for that
to happen, such is the way my mind works.
So imagine, on the heels of that, suddenly being gone from the internet
when last month I was present with a million songs, then IMP goes down.
"Wow, this day kinda sucks" I may have said.
I've never been so glad to see a website on the air.
Even gladder than I'd be if SoundClick HAD stopped fucking with me
and put my pages back on the air... because by now after the saloogi game
they put me through, I'd know it's only a matter of time before
they fuck with me again.
Anyway, Thank you Scott,
I know you and I sometimes are like, jeez, 'clash of the titans'....
but I'm real glad you made such a cool place as this,
and I do feel like I've found a musical home here.
So, well the good news is I'm going to be a lot less likely to dicker
about bullshit now.
The bad news, for me anyway, is it is still the end of an era.
I've been silenced at SoundClick. And you just wouldn't believe
the way ---relentless--- they ran me 'round the maypole.
Somebody paid for that to happen, I'm convinced.
I'd thought it was Republicans.
Now I'm not so sure.
Oh Shit. I know who it is.
Nevermind...
Anyway,
Thank God For You, Scott. Thank God For IMP.
Big relief to see you back.
I'm posting this at a little after three a.m.
Whew.
I can rest better now.

I know what you mean. I've been physically ill all day with the site being down. First thought was, did I do something to cause this? Found that I didn't but seeing it back up sadly enough for the state of my life I guess, I could breathe again. heh
Then to go from the bottom to the top, I just got finished with the absolute best Kayak Big 25 show yet, will be up soon. It is absolutely amazing the quality of songs we have on this site, and in all different genres too.
I know what you mean about soundclick. For years I promoted the url mp3.com/fathertime, only to have them completely steal it away from me when Vivendi took over and threw out all the indies. I still haven't gotten over that, to be honest.

Well all of it serves as a reminder, start over, make it count. Pretty much that's it.
We were honestly very worried about Lesley this past month.
George and I don't have to worry you know for obvious reasons.
She can't even fathom what's the 'why' to all this...
Even with George in her other ear going
'everything happens for a reason'....
we've all had our moment of hating the shit out of when George does that.
Fucking Yoda Harrison.
I just like making records you know, I'd make 'em even if we
had nowhere to release them, but I'm glad we do have here,
and I'm glad you're back. George nodded, that's very loud for him.

Seriously.
It's Good To Be Home.
Indie Music People Is Home.
Nothing like being without to make you appreciate being with.
I genuinely hope to Dear Merciful God that I die before this site ever does.
Again, Thank you Scott and Bless you, for all that you do.
We're Artists, all into our own thing. Maybe we don't tell you that enough.
I just tried to though.
Slept some... got up when the sun came blazing through my window...
Oh Thank God They're Still Here. Whew.

PS...
as for the outage experience as a spotlight on 'the state of one's life'...
Well you know, we who do this because of it chose us before we chose it,
are all in the same boat. Our music is everything to us.
And for you, that includes being Father IMP as well as Father Time,
and, well do the math, the site's down, so therefore
so is all music on it... that's a very real reason to feel like
we're knock knock knockin on Heaven's door.
I mean, at first, I thought the Universe was out
to see how long it could fuck with me before I take a header off a tall building.
"Let me get this straight, you WANT me to kill myself?"
Sure made me appreciate Home though.
Musically speaking, yeah, this is home.
SoundClick is dead (it is as far as I'm concerned)...
Long Live Indie Music People.
Whew.
Oh My God.
I don't know if it makes you feel any better, me saying all that, but it's true....
For some of us, yes we love our families and love doing all we do for them,
but take away the music, there's a hole in us stupid big.
Big enough for another guy, say an acrobat to leap through. Ta-Da!
Which is really gross to picture, sorry I said that part.
