Anybody have a link to something, anything, that's shockingly good, rockin', cool?

Here you go, Scott. A lost power pop classic, only JUST released.
Prix - Historix
Featuring Alex Chilton and Chris Bell from Big Star, recorded by Jim Dickinson. Will make you cry that it sat in the vaults since 1974.

Have you ever heard The Exploding Hearts, Scott?
An absolutely incredible band with a horrifyingly tragic story: all but the drummer perished in a bus crash while they were out on tour supporting this album, their first. All were in their early 20s. Listen to this, if you haven't and it's hard not to mourn not just for them and their families, but also for music in general; at what could have been.
The Exploding Hearts - Guitar Romantic
It'll satisfy that part of you that yearns for real, authentic, rock 'n' roll with no pretenses: tons of attitude, no irony, and a heart as huge as the world. Truly incredible stuff that breaks no ground and doesn't fucking need to. It's that good.

Did a remix of Night wings over Beijing. Sorted out a few problems with the mix. I am just updating the old song. I had to wait a few years until i could afford a computer that actuallly cuuld play this song in real time. So this a live mix. Huge thanks to Dick Aven for his sterling Saxophone. He is the star on this piece

Todd, Prix is really good, listening now. Mildly reminiscent of the Raspberries.

Nice guitar work there Richard reminds me of something slash would play when gnr first started and slash was still holding his blues roots.

Richard, your song was pretty good. Long intro. Oh you haven't added the vocals yet, oops.

Yeah, it doesn't really have an intro. The vocal starts right after the very first drum fill. I decided to get to the meat of the song right away. Speaking of meat, there a fantastic documentary about Meat Loaf
last night on Showtime. It was truly inspirational. The guy was beaten as a kid, ran away from home at 16, went to LA and was asked to be in "HAIR" the first week he was there. The rest is history, as they say.
