So after many of you all submitted your tracks for the show did anyone tune in or did it go over like a "led zepplin"?
See what I did there...

Ken, meant to ask this before Wednesday, but is the show archived anywhere on the IMP site? I knew I couldn't listen in - I teach on Wednesday evenings. Hope I can still hear it somehow.

Psyches Muse,
Scott said he can put on the big 25 if I break it up. I will try to do that but understand with 45 minutes of music its large files and I do have other commitments so I will get it to Scott when I can.
The rythme kings as far as the commentary I was trying to be MC only and not do any commentary as you heard. If I did more commentary the show would be to long and have less music . The point of the show was to present live versions of as many different artist as possible as it was I missed a submission from Bob as he sent after the show was done. So If you want more commentary understand that is an exchange for less music. My speaking voice is rather dull and boring so personally I wanted the show to be about the music.

TSC,
Didn't know it could be burdensome doing this sort of thing... Sorry! Please take the time(whatever that would be) so that this "will not" be a burden. And if that isn't possible I wouldn't feel slighted in the least if it were not done at all. Maybe just announce future Radio Broadcast a week or so in advance(if possible)? Thank you... I really appreciate what you and Scott do. -M-

Psyches Muse,
I thought it was going to take time because it was large files fortunately for me I have a wav editor that made the task easier than I expected.
I sent the files to Scott today and he can let us know when and where he posts them.
Since this show was pretty much a bust I don't know how likely I am to spend time doing more.

Ken

Wow. All this time you spent dickin' around on this. We could've had a half dozen Second Life concerts. Just sayin'. :D

well Laree at the risk of being censored by the new guide lines that none of us have been told exactly what they are so who knows what's safe to say and what's not anymore.
You love Second life so much I recommend you play with your self in second life. As for me I spent a bit of time creating a show that Scott announced and almost all the people in the show did not even tune in. I've really about had it with this place and am considering pulling stakes all together.
So thanks for being an extra incentive for that.
Peace brother.

Just so you know Larree there are bigger factors that you and your comment about second life don't really does not bother me too much but other factors are really pissing me off.
You tried second life hype it did not work. I really can't understand why you want to keep pushing it unless your trying to piss me off well I'm pissed already and you added a cherry on top so thanks for that.
Anyway like it or not I've done more for this place than many others and I am considering if I should only depart from the pipeline or delete all my content all together.
I'm really on the brink so don't push me.

Ken

But really, why shouldn't I be kind of an ass about it? After all, this whole "let's pretend to be live" radio show was a direct response to my attempt to get you clowns to do something fun! Heck. I played at an open mic in SL tonight with some live players who would knock your socks off. There are women in SL, too. Women with tons of musical talent! So whatever. Be pissed.

You are right Larree the indy show was created in response to your second life concert idea that failed miserably sorry that I made an attempt to do something positive for the community and that so disturbed you.
Don't worry I don't plan on doing any more and depending on what pans out with this other situation I may not participate at all.
Peace,

I don't see it as a failure at all. Just a disappointment. SL doesn't "need" you. I was simply offering a fantastic opportunity to reach new people and have a blast of a good time. And the radio show was hardly disturbing to me. (Although I did find it funny that people would pretend to be performing live as opposed to actually performing live!) Oh well.

Damn, Ken! It's not the fucking dentist office! It's a visually appealing and stimulating virtual environment filled with people, open to and appreciative of live musicians! What the fuck more can a musician ask for? :D

Scott,
If the file is too large I can reduce the bit rate and upload it to you again. I split the show as close to in half as there was a close breaking point to halfway.
You can contact me outside of IMP and let me know if you want me to do that.

Ken

Instead of arguing about Second Life (which I personally would definitely never get round to as I prefer to play in real life) I can see that for some people it's a brilliant idea. Why not just do it if you want to and put the link or whatever so that those who fancy it have a go and those that don't - well don't!!! Why fight about it. However, in my opinion it's nothing to do with this site which already offers a platform for sharing music which is accessible and easy to use.
I would feel very excluded if Second Life was an important thing here as I haven't time to get into it (or the desire). That doesn't make it a bad thing to suggest but not actually as an IMP thing - if that makes sense.

Well, Chandra, to be honest with you I don't care if anyone here tries it or not anymore. I offered my time to help get people set up and got a bunch of grief for that, mostly from Ken. So now I just enjoy giving Ken a hard time because he was such an ass towards me when I first brought it up. I played a 90 minute SL set last night. Made about eight bucks sitting in my room in my skivvies. Played some Zappa, Beatles, Stones, Elton John, and Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety. And more!

It was my idea to introduce Second Life to pipeliners. I have played shows there and it's great exposure. but we get it that many don't like the idea.

Second Life would seem to be a fun way of expressing ones self as a "musician"(which is why I would'nt take part in it "as if" I were one of you fabulous guys)... Although, I might enjoy playing the part of an audience member if IMP Triple C Club members listened for free. ; )
(IMP site does generate more funding based upon "site activity"/"traffic" right?)
