sometimes I think..
we should change the focus of this board to negative reviews or something. People only seem to get passionate about things when they're attacked or something. There's little or no life here lately, I wonder what it would take to fire people up?

well, interesting point. and maybe you have something Scott, i dont know, I do what i can to let people know what I am doing, offer suggestions, not sure what the answer is. I know many are really just trying to survive with holding it all together work wise, some I know have relocated and have new jobs and getting settled in. others are going through some life circumstances and health challenges. time is a valuable commodity as we all know, and even though i show up here, i really have a lot of important challenges with family and situations so not sure how much opportunity I will have to be here as in the past and currently......i had to work a huge promo thing for 4 months , that took its toll and in january i was doing some support thing for a few musicians as well. then my teaching and trying to get back to writing, which I churned out the last few months, I am bushed. near wore out. want to finish about 6-7 more projects then ,do major renos here at home . I had a ton in the summer but still managed to stick around here. i like to offer more in the future, but cant. Things are happening that require me to focus on family ,anyways thats my excuse

Well said, Bryon. I wish I knew the answers but I don't. Maybe a survey should be done to find out what's on the minds of the members. Every member would get an e-mail with a questionaire asking how they feel more activity could be generated here and what things tend to hinder participation. When the results are compiled, we can discuss them on the pipeline. As Bryon mentioned - we all have challenges and responsibilities that compete with our ability to be more active here.
Personally I don't think that negativity is any more interesting than positivity. I come here to relax, to share my music and to enjoy the music of my friends. If we find out what members are passionate about - we can put the passion into the positivity and stimulate more participation. The percentage of people who feel strongly about various issues would be very useful info. Some may have specific suggestions on how to make things better or say what is turning them off.
We won't know unless we ask.
