Your love falls like rain
Your Love Falls Like Rainis a piano solo recorded with my old tascam porta 07. using a couple old mics from the days I performed live.

The composition is my newest piano work dedicated to my wife of 46 years. I just wondered what my fellow impers think of it. I have not used this tape machine for years but think I will return and do more piano only works as it captures a really warm quality.

Anyways. Thanks for your continued support and listening here and thanks to Norm for picking up the slack and doing a lot of heavy lifting with his stations. My days of station management have dwindled off due to family issues and other circumstances, but had enough time to do some dabbling. Hope to get back into more listening and station work here again sometime

Cheers all
Carry on all your fine works

Beautiful, Bryon - a lovely compliment to pay your wife. It's really wonderful to have a song, or poem or painting dedicated to you personally. Not many people get to have that.

Also loved The God Particle. It's another one of your compositions that has the Impressionist influence - like the Chinese stuff that you did. Amazing video too - love the effect and great to watch you play.

I echo Delores's sentiments. This is a lovely song and I do think it's a rare honor to be the subject of such a wonderful dedication and the inspiration for such a beautiful work of art. And we as artists are also blessed to be loved by such inspiring partners.
It's a win - win!

I added the song to my station: Richard Scotti's Love Festival.

Thanks for the kind words Dolores on my latest composition and taking time also to listen and watch my God Particle video, I love experimenting with sounds on the acoustic piano, nothing like it , and to Richard as well for your thoughtful description and add to your love festival station. much gratitude, and a shout out to Norm for adding Your Love Falls Like Rain to all his many stations too. very nice.

have a great day everyone and Love what you do, do what you love, carry on your fine works in music.

@Bryon - I love the fact that the song was recorded on a Tascam Porta Studio. That machine played a major role in my life. It was an amazing device for it's time and had such a warm & punchy sound. I always used Maxell XL II - S cassettes because they had the lowest noise and best sound of any cassette. Sorry to geek out on gear but the name "Tascam" triggered me.

cool feedback Richard, i am not a geek, and still learning about recording, and been doing digital via zoom but do like the feel and warmth of this track and the tascam porta 07 mini studio worked well, I have done some work with it, although I never went beyond a few tracks and bouncing tracks a bit., I could have learned more about the unit, maybe now I will get into doing more, I need new mics so figuring which way to go there. these old ones are cheap ones. cheers

Nice Piece Bryon.
I'm sure your wife loves the music too.

I think every spouse sooner or later kind of expects some kind of show of love towards them especially when we spend a lot of our lives putting ourselves into our work. At least mine does. I wrote our anniversary song on our 25th fifteen years ago.

Now it's like a calender date that if I forget the words or our anniversary, I get in trouble. Hahahaha

I still record all my initial waves on a Tascam DP 24. It has great warmth. I tried recording direct into pro tools and I did not like the feel of it so I import my 24 bit waves and mix in pro-tools.

As always your the master of keys not many players have your depth and finesse its really impressive.

Your love falls like rain is beautiful and heart felt. I have to make time for the God particle with that title it sounds pretty interesting.

Take care
