BRAND NEW SONG ALERT!
Last night, I nailed it! Just finishing the lyrics, recording vocals, and I did it! My brand new song entitled; Mama Magnolia. It features the stylings of Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, R.L. Burnside, and Muddy Waters. Man, I still got it once and for all. Very good song Shawn! That's a great vocal performance you put in; I like your lower register a lot! And the slide guitar is very powerful!
I think I hear a smoke alarm chirping? I would probably try to edit that out or do a retake after changing the battery or whatever needs to be done.

That may be it. Seemed a bit loud, but I am a bit sensitive to higher frequencies at times so that could be skewing the way I hear it.

Hey Bro. That is a very bluesy song and I like it a lot. However, every now and then there was a chirping noise in there that sounded sort of like a smoke detector battery warning. I don't know how it got in there but you should go through your mix, find the track that it is on and some how get rid of it. It may mean thyat you have to re-record something if it is inerspersed with an instrument track Or, mpore likely, it is in a vocal track and you have to delete that track and re=record it. But But the first thing you shoudl do iis go into the recording room where your microphone is set up and just sit there and wait to see if you can find the cause of that chirp. Then, resolve it! I suspect that it is the smoke detector battery warning sound. But I could be wrong. It could be a phone sound or any other device that makes sounds. But you want to hunt that sound down and make sure that it does not get into any future recordings. Okay? Just because, it is tainting all the great work you have done on this song. I have had sound anomalies in my recordings before and I always say, wtf? Then I find it and get rid of it because I don't like there to be obvious flaws in my recordings. Unless, you actually wanted that sound in there for some reason. If so, turn it down in the mix. High pitched sounds often stick out like a sore thumb in the mix. I tend to turn that stuff down low enough to be heard but not be a distraction. But, overall, everything else sounds great. Really feeling your fine guitar work on this. I love that old style Blues and you have certainly captured a previous era here. Much Respect!, Stoneman
